You have to wonder how thick the walls of his bubble are ? Surely the people around him know their ship has been “holed” bigger than the Titanic and they are all going down eventually. My guess is, given his nature, his “posse” stop giving him the bad news a couple years ago. Election night will be something to behold as state after state turns blue.
We can always hope for a Hitler in the bunker moment. Maybe Mulvaney should start telling him how soul-cleansing and honorable resignation is in the face of overwhelming odds. If he waits too long, Pence will not be able to pardon him. Of course the idiot probably doesn’t realize if he pardons himself, he will face sanctions after he leaves office for obstruction of justice owing for his own self-pardon.

it was 35 votes, not 35% ! I’d be really surprised if he got even 5% of the black vote - certainly less than 10%.
It was really only after the tapes were released by order of the Supreme Court…they made it clear Nixon knew what was going on and that he participated in the cover up. That really made defending him untenable, and Republicans moved to get him to resign instead of having to go through the impeachment process and then vote.
It’s not clear that we will get the same thing here…we have lots of damaging testimony already, but the administration blockade is stopping things like the call transcript from coming out. If the subpoenas move fast enough, Democrats will want all of that, and it’s not clear that the Trump administration will obey the law and court orders to turn it over…that’s why the blockage is being used as another impeachment article instead of waiting around for the courts. The drawback is that not all the evidence will be presented…that will give some Republicans a space to exist where they can claim it was all fine.
The question is if enough will do that to save Trump, once the public hears the public testimonies and evidence we already know it’s likely that impeachment becomes even more desired. We’ll have to wait a few months to see how that turns out…personally I’d rather the Democrats get the evidence from the administration, or have them disobey the law and courts, than rush through to get an impeachment vote before the end of the year.

There is no way Trump gets 35% of the black vote…that’s literally a fantasy, which is why you can’t trust Rasmussen polling, they will do anything to support the Republicans, including outright lying.
