Jackson, Michigan, does, now, (sort of) admit that Ripon was the birthplace of the Republican Party, but does not recognize Detroit as the birthplace of the Coney Dog.
Detroit probably has a case, but we’re sticking to our guns.
Kamala rallied last night
With Liz Cheney they made a strange sight
But with Freedom at stake
For Democracy’s sake
Against Trump they’ve joined forces to fight
Another pathologically self-assured nincompoop with a bleach blonde do.
It is frightening how many women I have met that are just like this, across every country.
Perceived social superiority makes monsters out of quite ordinary people. This is a grown up mean girl, and her weeping with self pity was just the cherry on top.
This woman has been flattered every moment of her infantile life.
Empty Greene says,
“Yes they can control the weather.
It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.”
I’m pretty sure the last crew that could control the weather was associated with Zeus. They went out of business a couple thousand years ago.
The University of Georgia must be so proud.
HeatherCox Richardson had some highlights of Harris and Cheney’s speeches in Ripon. Great stuff.
“The president of the United States must not look at our country through the narrow lens of ideology or petty partisanship or self-interest,” Harris said today. “The president of the United States must not look at our country as an instrument for their own ambitions. Our nation is not some spoil to be won. The United States of America is the greatest idea humanity ever devised: the nation that inspired the world to believe in the possibility of a representative government. And so in the face of those who would endanger our magnificent experiment, people of every party must stand together.”
"In this election, putting patriotism ahead of partisanship is not an aspiration. It is our duty,” Cheney said. “I ask all of you here and everyone listening across this great country to join us. I ask you to meet this moment. I ask you to stand in truth, to reject the depraved cruelty of Donald Trump.
“And I ask you instead to help us elect Kamala Harris for president. I know…that…a president Harris will be able to unite this nation. I know that she will be a president who will defend the rule of law, and I know that she will be a president who can inspire all of our children—and if I might say so, especially our little girls—to do great things. So help us right the ship of our democracy so that history will say of us, when our time of testing came, we did our duty and we prevailed because we loved our country more.”
The day after the election huh? Judge Chutkan should make TFG show up to the courtroom.
U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan granted Trump an extension from Oct. 17 to Nov. 7 to file his response to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s mammoth brief on presidential immunity. That was less additional time than Trump had requested.
So, Tina Peters receives nine years for doing what she did to further Trump’s claims of voter fraud and a stolen election. I eagerly await the sentence that the orange burrito receives for perpetrating far worse crimes.
