Wonder what this is about.
Because Iran knows they can’t directly confront US military power or exert pressure for the US to stop our war of choice… but they can exert economic pressure, thus getting US allies to exert pressure on Trump.
Tariffs and inflation may have landed and not in a good way.
So many ethics-free thugs, so few poisonous-reptile inhabited deserted islands.
As always, if this happens, GOP will take credit. Dems idiots for doing this now. One party, that has countless propaganda outlets, always puts themselves over country; the other, with no MSM outlets, never does. Let’s see who wins.
Security might be the excuse, but it’s primarily to avoid reporters and photographers.
Military bases have their own safety issues. While I was in there was an endless stream of incidents at Fort Hood involving senior officers and NCOs getting into early morning violent altercations in their on-post housing communities, often the result of swinging-gone-wrong or just straightforward adultery. I’m sure there were plenty more caused by general un-neighborly behavior.
Wow, Trump’s Mt-Everest-level narcissism is certainly widely shared across his regime. Extending even to relative flunkies like Ed Martin… What a response from somebody who allegedly actually graduated from law school at one point…
From Martin’s response to the DC Disciplinary Counsel, as quoted in the MM
Well there you have it. That must mean it’s acceptable to Chump if his boss is on-board.
Seems to me that Missouri might be more inclined to follow DC if DC disbars Ed.
Been catching up on the tornado damage.
What have I missed?
Last Friday’s 15/20 miles north. This one petered out 50 miles west. At least they’re getting further away.
But Sen. Marshall — Army Reserve, MD, father of four kids — won’t.
Scaffolding up outside the Palm Room… which is on the way to the West Wing.
The federal gas tax is 18.4 cents per gallon. For prices that have gone up $.50 to $1 and more, not going to do much.
It almost sounds like, “We’re glad to be able talk about the squabbling meerkats so we don’t have to discuss the leopards eating our faces.”
When you’ve lost Joe Rogan… (NYT)
Joe Rogan, the influential podcast host, said on his show Tuesday that the war in Iran was “crazy” and had left Americans feeling “betrayed” by President Trump, describing the conflict as a sharp reversal from the policies that the president had campaigned on.
“It just seems so insane,” said Mr. Rogan, who endorsed Mr. Trump in 2024 and said he still texted with him on occasion. “He ran on no more wars: End these stupid, senseless wars. And then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it.”
