I’ll believe it when I see it. Filing charges in Aileen Cannon’s court feels like sandbagging to me. So far he hasn’t had to put out a cent to Carroll. And not a single pretrial condition that amounts to any restrictions worth talking about.
Donnie’s trial cup runneth over. May he get repeatedly scalded.

He doesn’t have to physically be in court for civil trials - as long as he has lawyers there. It’s the criminal proceedings that have his depends sitting at the defendant’s table.
The real question will be which criminal trial goes first. Georgia? Documents case? Potential J6?
The documents case is several months away from jury selection - possibly not until 2024 - because of all the issues with classified materials. The Georgia elections case could actually go to trial this year (barring delay tactics), simply because it doesn’t involve classified docs… and although it represents a subset of the potential J6 charges, Jack Smith might let GA go first to leverage whatever comes out of that litigation.
I don’t envy anyone trying to calendar all of this – but am enjoying the fact that the shizzle is hitting the fan.
Of course, from here on out, we’ll be hearing the whine of “election interference” regarding any legal proceedings against the “front runner, by a lot” ex-president. If you’re the front runner, they should let you do it.
That’s what Tom Fitton is telling him. Tom INAL as well. He tells Trump what he wants to hear. He was involved in the birtherism claptrap a decade ago, so he and Trump are simpatico.
