E. Jean Carroll May Sue Trump A Third Time After He Mocked Her On Live TV

The scale and scope and duration of faux behavior re The Big Lie is much larger than what CNN did with their town hall. So far. I’m just pointing out that the bill of rights’ freedom of speech and freedom of the press is not a get out of jail free card.

True, but she seems pretty financially comfortable. What I think she’d really get out of refusing to settle is to watch those other women you mentioned get their day in court. This was never about money for her. I think the real payoff for her could be the opportunity to change how rapists and abusive men talk about their victims. She could radically change the way victims are treated in the court of public opinion.

Nothing to lose, except if you’re Trump.

AOC made a powerful statement about how his CNN comments about Caroll endangers her. Trump licenses loonies to commit violence and painted her as one of his many targets. I hope she sues him and has a good bodyguard.

Hell yes, sue the dumb bastard. Sue for $10 million, and be totally opposed to an out of court settlement. The only defense his attorneys would have would be to admit that he’s dumb as a rock, and has no adult-like self control.

Who in their mind would give Roberta Kaplan a second (or third) chance to kick them right square in the balls ?

It makes NO sense to defame E. Jean Carroll again, especially Trump, but here we are.

Trump is a mobster, a con man, an arrogant bloviator and a moron all rolled into one disgusting package. He has given the US and the Presidency a dirty black spot and given lie to the supposed “intelligence” of the American electorate.

If I recall correctly, a portion of the recent $5 million judgment was punitive, presumably to discourage future similar behavior. It looks like it didn’t work, so the next judgment will need to increase the punitive amount. By a lot.

More like a tap-in.

Or, a gimme.

She’s probably got lawyers calling her non-stop to file a new suit for her. Easy money.

If she’s got the time and money - hell, I’d go for it. I would think it gives her a purpose. She waited a long, long time.

Could it be that Cockholster secretly wants to be spanked again by Roberta Kaplan?

I thought that she already made it clear that money did not motivate her suit.

That said, maybe her lawyer would like for her to settle.

Looks like most of 'Lil Donnie’s campaign events and rallies will have to take place in front of courthouses.

I hope that it becomes prison yards.

Except, it’s not. I hate it when those outside a profession declare how easy it outta be to do something. If some attorney who actually takes defamation cases on contingency says it’s easy money, then I’ll listen.

The jury seemed to operate very meticulously in deciding how much her award should come to. It was detailed and probably didn’t take into consideration what he’s worth in which case they could have gone nuts and given her zillions. I hope the jury recognized and now the appeals court should recognize the fearlessness she displayed by even filing this suit after all these years.
