During Impeachment, Trump Wields Favorite Insult: Never-Trumper

To President Donald Trump, “Never-Trumper” is the dirtiest of insults.

The shorthand for anti-Trump Republicans came to prominence as then-candidate Trump was gaining steam in the 2016 primaries, to the horror of some more traditional conservatives. Now, Never-Trumpers like Bill Kristol are frequently featured on cable news, Trump’s favorite medium, for their perspective.

I’ll gladly wear the badge of courage that is a ‘Never Trumper’ . No problem, not an insult for me.

In what parallel universe is never Trumper an insult?

So are they, then, saying that while 70% say it was wrong, a third of them believe nothing should happen to him? There’s a big gap between 51% and 70%.

Never Trumper = pagan who fails to worship the one True God and his earthly manifestation, Our Most Beloved President, Donald J. Trump.

I’m a little confused: I thought “NeverTrumper” was by definition a Republican who wouldn’t vote for Trump. Is he saying that all who are testifying are Republicans?

If so, I’m much more encouraged about Republicans that their actions heretofore would justify.

The term “Never trumper” should be worn as a badge of honor deserving of the highest respect.

It’s all part of the authoritarian playbook, dehumanize your opponents with your supporters, and the let your supporters take care of your opponents. All these things he calls people are shorthanded in “Never Trumpers!”, and it’s actually a bit worse as they are seen as traitors because they are Republicans. He’s hoping he can get his supporters to rise up and defend him, with violence if necessary, and use that to essentially blackmail Republicans to leaving him in office. It just may work too, since Republicans now fear their base and go along with Trump to keep the base happy.

It’s all going to implode eventually, the rest of the nation just doesn’t seem to want to go along with the lawbreaking and bad behavior…when it does it’s going to be a mess, we’ll just have to wait and see how big.

Calling me a “never Trumper” wouldn’t be an insult. It would be the truth. But then I’ve spent my life as a never rethuglican.

Was it really only 1000 days ago we had an adult in the white house?

A slim majority of Americans, 51%, believe Trump’s actions were wrong and he should be impeached and removed from office.

A slim majority of Americans didn’t vote to elect him POTUS, either.

Someone needs to start a Never-Trumper fan club with :fu: as it’s logo.

Every once in a while I ponder the implausibility that Trump can be choreographing all of his inane antics all by himself .

one person cannot be this insipid and offensive - just all on their own - if Hollywood wanted to create a character like this - a team of 24 writers would have to be put together - along with a manager to oversee the rotate of additional new writers in to the team to keep things fresh.

For the Traitor-in-Chief to call anyone (other than himself or his non-Barron family) “scum” is projection at its highest.
