Dick Durbin (D-IL) told reporters on Sunday afternoon that military cuts should be on the table as part of a deal to reduce spending and raise the debt ceiling.“The Bowles-Simpson plan proposed $800 billion in defense cuts over the next 10 years, $800 billion in non-defense cuts,” Durbin said. “The gang of six also believe that equal amounts should be cut from defense and non-defense.”
