Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin defended Mitt Romney against charges that a bullying episode from his time in high school is reflective of who Romney is today on CNN’s “State of the Union.” A Washington Post story on Thursday revealed an incident of bullying in which Romney forcefully cut the hair of a fellow student who was presumed to be gay. Romney has said he doesn’t remember the incident and that he was not aware of perceptions about the student’s sexual orientation.
