I once heard a song that was VERY similar to “Hallelujah”, it was contrapuntal, and sung from the viewpoint of Delilah. The woman singing it sounded very plaintive, and tragic…”I loved you first” was one of the lines. She admitted to cutting his hair. It sounded like it should have been sung at the same time. I have never been able to find the song again.
