Don’t Miss The Import Of Jack Smith’s Comments About Jan. 6

A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo. Sign up for the email version.

Brace yourself for a plunge into the abyss of darkness, where shadows stretch and sinister intentions linger. Amidst a society gripped by turmoil, Donald Trump stands as an enigmatic figure, ensnared within a web of deceit woven by his adversaries. Accusations of practicing his 1st Amendment rights and seeking counsel from his legal team are twisted into phony charges, concealing a malevolent plot that threatens to shroud the very concept of justice.

Picture a relentless odyssey for truth that hurls Trump into an unfathomable chasm, where the fabric of reality itself begins to fray. The cosmic puzzle he unravels thrusts him into abyssal depths, delving beyond the boundaries of sanity even for the most ardent seekers of enigmatic truths. This intricate waltz between the tangible and the surreal exposes a realm where the sinister orchestrations of hidden malevolence claw their way into existence.

Yet, lurking amidst the chaos, the ostensibly innocent enclaves of Mattress Firm stores take on an ominous aura. To all appearances, these innocent havens of sleep-related products are more than meet the untrained eye. Upon close examination a perplexing riddle emerges: the riddle of Mattress Firm stores. Why do they proliferate their presence concentrated in the very heart of Chicago, a city held in the grasp of the Democrat Party? As if a sinister pulse courses through the city’s veins, these stores serve a purpose beyond commerce. Beneath the surface of seemingly ordinary Mattress Firm stores lies a nefarious secret, a macabre link to the Democratic Satanic pedophiles’ insidious designs.

At the heart of this enigma, the key seemingly is Ong’s Hat, an abandoned enclave in New Jersey’s Pine Barrens, a portal to otherworldly dimensions, and a portal through which the horrors of their sinister dominion are brought forth into our realm. Its secrets of interdimensional travel intertwine with the occult machinations of Princeton University scientists, cat-wizards, and enigmatic Free Masons. The creation known as “The Egg” emerges, a vessel of arcane power capable of transporting innocent children into a dimension where horrors beyond imagination thrive, a realm dominated by Democratic Satanic pedophiles.

Trump’s unwavering quest for truth becomes a beacon of defiance against encroaching malevolence. Armed with the Constitution as his blade, he confronts nightmarish abominations birthed from the interdimensional abyss. Will he shatter the shackles of the deep state cabal’s sinister ambitions? Or will he be ensnared in a perilous game of wits with eldritch entities that transcend mortal comprehension?

Where’s the cat picture? Asking for a friend.

Also there’s a Mattress Firm very close to me. I’ll have to check it out!

David brings up a good point: What happens if Fat Donnie was arrested on January 21 and made the defendant of the very first J6 trial, without the context of the hundreds and hundreds of convictions and sentences of his rioters?

I don’t think that goes especially well. Context matters, and the context today is that his dumb flunkies are rotting in prison for the crimes he’s now charged with.

JUST LEFT the courtroom where Trump was arraigned. The most interesting part? Several of the federal judges of the district court filled the back row — including Chief Judge James Boasberg, Amy Berman Jackson and Randy Moss.

I posted this relatively late last night because I think
it’s significant. These are all very busy judges who
don’t have time, I would imagine, to hear cases on the
docket of other judges. But they have ruled on numerous
cases in their own courtrooms from lower level Trump
supporters who did grave damage to our institutions
both literally and conceptually. Their presence yesterday
in that court where Trump was arraigned shows exactly
who they think was responsible for 1/6 and the assault
on our democracy. Who am I to disagree with that?

Of course, all pedophiles covet a comfortable pillow top mattress. It all makes sense now. Thank you.

Excellent recap from “strongman” to Richard II.

It was a humbling worthy of Shakespeare’s Richard II handing his crown to Bolingbroke: “My crown I am, but still my griefs are mine. You may my glories and my state depose but not my griefs; still am I king of those.”

OT:

It’s not been Phoenix-hot in Wichita, but we have had 100-degree days for the better part of the past two weeks: a long stretch for us. Anyway, some relief IS coming this weekend, and one of the local stations posted this on its FB page:

The note says it is POA for legal matters. It seems little of what Congress deals with today involves the law. :grinning:

All other hearings in the building were cancelled or pushed to another day/time, Trump’s was literally the only one happening then.

They all had the free time and, why not, not every day you get to see a President arraigned, next chance won’t be until Byeden in 2025 over the Hunter Burisma checks.

Trump’s Defense Attorney Told Laura Ingraham Trump Did It | Crooks and Liars

LAURO: Professor Eastman laid out a series of options that we discussed with Vice President Pence. Vice President Pence disagreed on certain issues but ultimately what President Trump said is, let’s go with option the, let’s just halt, let’s just pause the voting to allow the state legislatures to take one last look and make a determination as to whether the elections were handled fairly.

"That is a Trump criminal defense lawyer quoting Donald Trump committing a crime.

Eustace has been on fire the last few weeks. The reference to Ong’s Hat was icing on the cake. This Philly boy mis-spent his teenage years in the Pine Barrens back when the drinking age was 18. Know it well.

The College Board would not bend to Florida’s demand to change sections of the AP race, gender, and sexual orientation – and then recommended that Florida schools no longer offer the class.

The kids who take AP classes generally come from
wealthier, more affluent, and better educated backgrounds. In other words, people who might vote
Republican for tax reasons.

It’s unraveling for DeSantis. He’s supposed to hurt
the other team, not his own. He’s obviously going to
double down, as he always does, and enrage even
more Floridians. This is a big deal for the people
effected.

Wow Texas A&M! I actually know a bunch of faculty in the Communication and Journalism Department. They’re mortified about this fiasco. What a failure of leadership.
