He won’t be arrested and held if indicted. With 24/7 Secret Service protection it will be difficult to call him a flight risk, and with a declared 2024 candidacy it would look like Biden using the government to stop an opponent for reelection.
Trump might be allowed six months to a year to prepare a defense according to some knowledgeable folks, and the trial will take a while after that. So get used to seeing him in the news for another year or two.

Trump is a flight risk who is easily proven to pose a risk to public safety. I doubt he will be held in jail pending trial, but it’s not the most improbable of ourtcomes. Some form of house arrest and ankle monitoring pending trial is very likely.

Mr. Kovensky got his journalistic start in Ukraine and it would benefit this site if he were to include regular updates on the war there. Daily Kos does a stellar job and Twitter still has many posting directly from the country but Josh must still have contacts there as well. Would be interested in hearing his perspective on the war in his country.

House arrest while he’s running a campaign for President? He can’t fly his pimped-out 757 to rallies? How does Biden avoid the appearance of using the DOJ for political purposes?
Trump is allowed a presumption of innocence until proven guilty like anyone else, and he isn’t a flight risk as long as he’s surrounded by USSS agents. He’s not a physical danger to others like a violent criminal, he just says nasty and dangerous things. We don’t jail someone just because they say dangerous things or he would already be in prison.

Over the weekend video emerged of her speech at the Federalist Society soiree in which she was yucking it up about abortion rights protestors. Got big laughs from the audience. What a comedian right?!?! A freaking SCOTUS justice joking about a recent decision that overturned decades of precedent and she has not one bit of self awareness about doing it. It’s a freaken cult without a doubt.
