I’m saying we need to root out any and all illegal activities and make it clear that everyone will be punished. So, I am saying that every person who works for ICE should be investigated. Same with anyone at DHS and DoD who was within 1,000 feet of anything illegal. Noem’s entire staff, for instance. Every single person should have to lawyer up.
And define, “actual abuses” for me? If you stomped someone’s head to the curb, yeah, prison. But what about the guy who loaded the tear gas onto the truck? If he knew they were conducting illegal raids, then yeah, charged as an accessory. Aiding and abetting a crime is still a crime. The old “I didn’t know” and “I was just doing my job” excuses were exposed as bullshit 80 years ago. The point is to put the fear of god into these people now, today, and make them second guess what they’re doing. If you cast a small net it’s very easy for people to say, “Oh, they don’t mean me” and they keep doing it.

What the DOJ is describing would require an intensive review of the applications of naturalized Americans to find those who met one of ten criteria outlined in the memo as making them “priorities for denaturalization”.

And besides, so what if the fuck pardons them. If the right can invent precedents so can we. If McConnell can invent a reason not to vote on a supreme court nominee, then we can certainly create a legal precedent that pardons given out as part of an anti-democratic conspiracy are completely invalid. That since their very existence is a component of the original crime itself they are null and void. And then we repeat that now, make sure that the fat slobs struggling to get into their vests know that we will be coming for them. That they cannot be pardoned and even if they are, we will not honor it.
This isn’t hard. It just takes a pair of balls, a spine and some imagination.
