I take heart in stories like this. It indicates to me that somewhere inside our corrupt justice system, there are people who take treason seriously.

Maybe I’m old fashioned.

Flynn’s suggestion in his December 2018 sentencing memo that he had been a victim of entrapment irked the judge.

Irking the judge responsible for your future or lack thereof is probably a bad idea.

" attorneys who have [taken an outright hostile approach to the Justice Department"

Did TPM ever really report on that being her entire shtick and claim to fame? Except that notably, her book was a big ridiculous defense of white collar criminals, not an analysis of the gross abuses happening numerous times every day to jail brown people…

She’s nothing but another cog in the white nationalist apparatus that believes plutocracy will save them from demographic shifts.

Instead of two weeks in the slammer, Flynn may get a whole 30 days.

Before the Gloomies jump in…

(1) Sullivan is not pleased with Flynn
(2) Flynn is not Rick Gates
(3) An anecdote from the film The Border. The Border Patrol Station head had to remind one of the corrupt Americans working under the orders/support of the Station Head that “We have to have some honest Border Patrol Officers.”

That’s where we are with DOJ. It’s been severely damaged by Bill Barr, but it is not foolish to continue to hope that Trump has not completely ruined it, nor does that hope necessarily signal less political acumen of the person hoping it is so.

Give Flynn a choice. Two sentences, one light, one harsh. He serves one, his son serves the other.
[a puppy can dream, right?]

Trump will pardon him 30 seconds after the next election, regardless of the outcome.

Can his sentencing be delayed until 2021?

Why would he wait? See Gallagher, et al.

Did everyone see the NYT story on leaked video re Gallagher? Not surprising but shocking nonetheless. Here a shorter version from Slate. Gallagher was at the Studio 54-theme party at Mar-A-Lago on Christmas.
