But if you think nice white people in the nothern states are without sin I suggest you read Isabel Wilkerson’s shattering book “Caste.” Then see if you can look yourself in the eye. This severely degrades the nature of citizenship for 10’s of millions of people and moves the goal-posts for the rest of us. Giving Trump and his cronies this power over people is another step in the dissolution of the country. None of these folks can ever have real free speech with such a sword-of-Damocles hanging over their head.
The usual refrain: Will the SCOTUS block this assault on Americans, or will they wait a couple years until it’s too late, or are they completely corrupt and complicit? I have no confidence that they will ever do the right thing and stand up to Trump.
