This article is distressing. It has the tone of an exposé of newly unearthed information from deeply reported investigative journalism. Almost everything in this article has been public information since the earliest days of DOGE and represents an existential threat to the privacy rights of every American resident. From theft of government data that the government is legally required to safeguard from disclosure of any kind.
This is not new news.

It’s definitely not new news. I’m careful but over the years credit card, insurance and health care companies have notified me of breeches which seemed to have no impact. However in 2025 I got a call from a foreign boiler-room phisher who already had my address, DOB, SS number and other info she was trying to verify “so we can send you a new Medicare card”. I told her that was BS and she was using stolen info. She hung up. A few weeks later I got a letter from Blue Shield re a breech of the Medicare supplemental plan to let me know that a hack between Jan 27 and Feb 7 2025 had resulted in my data being distributed. Doge wasted no time.

I surmised this even before DOGE started. This operation was being run out of the the office of the president. The real goal was to get all the data sets from all the government agencies and give it to Thiel. All done by verbal classified orders .Geting rid of any cyber security oversight as they setup their system to be ready for the 2026 elections.

I wrote my congress critters about this, complaining that DOGE stole my information. Got a nice response from them, indicating they at least read it. But being Dems, nothing else has happened. No one has gone to jail yet.
BTW, after that, I set up accounts with login.gov and id.me, and logged into irs and ssa with it. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend doing so. That way no one else can set up an account with your info. Make sure you use strong unique passwords and TFA.

OT a bit, but re “The New Defense Budget.”
The president wants to increase the defense budget by more than 40%. That comes on top of his request for $200 billion to fund his current war with Iran.
It’s important to appreciate that there’s simply no way for the Pentagon to productively absorb that scale of resources on that timescale.
Given that it takes like 10 years to build an aircraft carrier and get it into service, and one of them costs something like $13 Billion dollars, which does not include the cost of the Air Wing, his budget is beyond unsustainable, it’s ridiculous and pure lala land.
And that is,…
they think all of this will come with massive cuts to all of the social safety net. It is a huge reorientation of the entire federal government from being a modern government, focused primarily on supporting and protecting its citizens, to one focused on, and built for, force and violence…
…and they think the America population is going to take that?
As I’ve said elsewhere, I’ve just settled on the conclusion that Trump et al are trying to commit suicide, of the entire country. The things they are doing, they make absolutely no sense. They think they’re getting rich and taking all that taxpayer money for themselves, but to what point, what purpose, to be Trump at that early NATO/EU (whatever it was) meeting where he shoved aside the other PM’s so he could be first thru the door?
They keep it up they better hope they’re overseas when the powder keg goes off. And it will if they gut Soc Sec and M-Care and Medicaid and FEMA and block grants for education and Student loans and all the rest.
