I sent in a donation, but it’s because I am so very fond of Speaker Pelosi who leaves her foes bleeding out in surprise every time.
“bleeding out”? Losing the House IMO is more of a threat than losing the Senate. Pelosi better figure out how to minimize the “defund police” disinformation meme that was so effective in gaining the 'pubs a dozen(?) seats recent cycle, leaving House Dems with a 9-10 seat majority. That’s Super Model thin.

Trump’s SLC Turnberry Ltd received as much as $700,000 in taxpayer funds, while his resort in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire, was paid up to $100,000 in just two months, according to government documents, reported the Scottish Sun. (The amounts are reported in ranges.)
Some other golf resorts collected as much or even more. But the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers complained to The Scotsman that the Trump Organization “hoovering up” public money while cutting staff made a “mockery” of a program specifically designed to save jobs.
The union said some 66 workers were let go at Turnberry in Ayrshire since last spring. Some have been hired back but at reduced pay, according to the union.

One thing I’ve been very, very pleased to see is that they’re running a number of ads boosting various bills and they’re doing so across multiple mediums. They’re actually selling their policies. I’d like to see even more of that, particularly with the infrastructure bill. But what I love about this fundraising is that it says Dem voters are staying engaged instead of checking out after the presidential election as they usually do. That’s a very good thing.

I think Democrats are going to do a lot better in 2022 than the pundits believe. All they have to do is keep fighting for the American people. Redeveloping infrastructure sets America up of the next 40 years. That is a big damn deal. People notice. Especially if we remind them who is responsible.

Totally agree. Have you read Josh’s Thinking About the 2022 Midterms piece? He’s thinking the same as we are. Basically, Josh thinks that Dems need to go big and pass all of these big bills. The worse thing that could happen is that Dems still take a bunch of losses, but regardless Joe will still be president until 2025 and will be able to protect the legislation they enact. However, if the current projections hold and America finally comes out of Covid, the president remains popular, and the economy is booming there’s just no reason this first term midterm has to go as they usually do. Also, between the insurrection and the GOP beefing with itself trying to cast out those who aren’t sufficiently loyal to Trump, there’s just no reason for the usual pessimism.

But really, $427,000 in Obama’s first 100? That was pathetic, and one of the things Democrats do that makes gerrymandering happen.
Democrats, keep your eyes on the prize. Since all they got is greed, they never stop. Ever. We get a win and yay team and pat ourselves on the back and claim victory and move on to the next thing or making organic cookies from stuff grown in your garden, meantime, the gopper soulless losers try again.
