DNC Blasts Facebook For Allowing Trump To Spread False Claims

But we expect that from Wall Street. The techies in Silicon Valley are supposed to be largely liberal (and most certainly much of the staff is), that doesn’t play well with their customers or their staff.

I’ve always thought it’s about priorities. Sure these people are socially liberal, but when it comes to money, some of them just can’t resist.

Nope.

Side note: that dogfighting matter is nearly five years old.

Nope, as long as ‘frieh spiech’ (one’s wallet) > personal responsibility, then I wouldn’t be surprised if I gave money to the Warren camp.

The same lot who didn’t give one s–t about Myanmar’s abuses, aren’t gonna care about this, because frankly, they assume that their user base are idiots.

My point being, though, that that rational decision for the money side may very well cost him money if this gets traction. Lemme guess that someone who was not happy to hear this is behind the leak.

“Social media platforms have a responsibility to protect our democracy and counter disinformation online,” Nanda said. “This is a serious missed opportunity by Facebook.”

The DNC needs to be real here, rather than being faux-polite. Since when does Facebook take an action that will discourage people from using their site in favor of fairness, honesty, social responsibility, or just generally “doing the right thing”?

Another article on Zuckerberg promising to 'fight’ efforts by Sen. Warren to break up Facebook…

Social media should have accountability like newspaper and it should be done by legislation like EU.

Fuck Facebook. I’m not on the platform and I invite you to do the same.

Zuk as in suck is in the bag for REPUGS because he is fearful the suckers that use FB will be after his hide when/if a Dem wins.

“Shocking!” – said no one at all.

I’m so glad he didn’t phrase that in the past tense.

But only if the good folks have not paid us, see Cambridge Analytica for an example. Then note a former FB Exec told other FB execs some 5 or 6 years prior to the CA outing that they had problems. Instead of doing anything they fired his ass.

Bet you $1 that FaceBook would intervene if salacious and immoral lies were being spread on FaceBook about Zuckerberg, Sandberg and the other bosses there.

If you still have one, cancel your FB account and pressure your friends and relatives to do the same. It’s a social cancer site and little more.

Trump promised Zuckerberg that he would not touch Facebook and they could do as they pleased under a Trump Administration (for a little help digging up dirt on his Democratic opponents of course.)

Zuckerberg, being the arrogant billionaire man-child he is, jumped that the prospect of keeping both his tax breaks, and a “no-interference” promise from the man-child Trump.

Arrogance and Ignorance are dangerous bedfellows, add in billions of $$$ and immature egos and you get; Fascism.

I’ve never had a FB account (or any other major social media account) but they sure seem to know a lot about me already by scraping the accounts of my friends and family members.

I’m starting to think Roy Cohn had a secret child. Short, arrogant, malicious. Yeah. It fits.

Facebook keeps making Warren’s case for her. Even if she doesn’t end up the nominee, the party should make breaking up Facebook a part of their platform. Time for some overdue trustbusting.

Shoot, the dude makes his wife wear a t-shirt to bed so that he doesn’t see an exposed nipple.

Although I will say that Ivanka’s eyes don’t have that corpse-like blankness, so there is that.
