Same here.
Saw him headline a talk at Houston Baptist University about 10yrs ago.
The blatant sh*t he spewed must’ve made my head glow red-hot-- cuz’ after about an hour-- I was ready to have a Joe-Wilson-moment-- and feeling like half the auditorium was staring at us.
Maybe 3k in attendance.
Watching them swallow Rovian horsesh*t whole?
My buddy and I simply had to leave before the curtain came down.
Exactly the first thing I thought of as well. How does this resonate with Fox’s basic, core audience? Pumping up the Bengazi makes sense with that crowd. Bringing up ageism? Not such a good idea.
You know, most of us who have seen a few decades of these types of smear campaigns can already see the outilines:
If the candidate’s young, whine that he’s inexperienced.
If the candidate’s old, wink and make comments about dementia.
If the candidate’s non-white, trot out the stereotypes.
If the candidate’s female, mansplain how she can’t decide anything because ladyparts.
Etc., etc., etc.
I dread this campaign season that has lengthened to infinity because it just means we get more of this shit, bankrolled by billionaires.
Would someone please ask Turd-Blossom why he thought Ronald Reagan, admittedly in the throws of his early Alzheimer’s disease, was perfectly OK for the presidency, but that Sen. Clinton is somehow disqualified because she slipped, fell and suffered a blow to the head. And remember, Turd-Blossom, Sen. Clinton suffered from a medical condition that is strictly a passing moment, unlike your idol and you. You, of course, have the serious medical condition known as “Throwing-yourself-on-the-floor-and-hold-your-breath” tantrum that often results in graphic displays of childishness on your Second Home of Fox News Elections Central.
I have never said that Karl Rove suffers from the lingering effects of a series of inadequately treated cases of gonorrhea - but we probably should discuss it … and while we are at it, it would be good to explore why we don’t see any significant effect of long term heroin use.
Brain damage…Hmmm. I think lack of oxygen and traumatic head injuries cause brain damage too.
"President Bush briefly lost consciousness Sunday after he choked on a pretzel while watching a football game on television in his living quarters, the White House said.
After fainting, the president tumbled to the floor from a couch, bruising his lower lip and suffering an abrasion the size of a half dollar on his left cheek, White House physician Dr. Richard Tubb said." LA Times 1/14/2002
Goebbels, er… Rove (pardon me!)-- is simply lining up his next $40M Grift-the-®ubes long con for 2016.
He knows from the several billionaire-boots-up-his-bahonkey post-election in 2012-- that he needs to cultivate new marks in advance of the election season.
Spot on. And yet some media type will undoubtedly bring it up as the GOP want them to do. Either Gregory, Blitzer or Stephanopolos (sp?) will be glad to do the GOP’s bidding on this one.
Rove has got serious desperation issues, that he puts on display every time he appears on the air. Who can forget election night 2012 when he refused to believe that Ohio went for Pres. Obama? he stomped off the set in disbelief and had to be consoled by Meghan Kelly!! He really needs to get medical attention for these recurring psychotic episodes.
Nice post Mr. Kludt, do you get you are playing Rove’s game? He makes reference of a brain injury (TBI), it is picked up by the post who uses the term brain damage. Gets lots of coverage. The Rove goes on Fox and clarifies . . . . I never said brain damage, but . . . . and off we go attacking, i mean questioning Hilliary’s health!
Reporting is more than just repeating what someone said, or repeated over and over again! What’s up with TPM?
Golly, you must be mistaken! Everyone KNOWS Saint Ronnie didn’t get the brain-jelly until approximately twenty minutes after exiting the Oval Office for the last time! Before that, he was completely lucid! (/snark)
Also, the Republicans left freakin’ Dan Quayle a heartbeat away from the Presidency, and wanted America to put Simple Sarah in a similar position. (And who would’ve run the country if Darth Cheney had died in office?)
