I spent my scientific research career in the area of reproductive physiology (ovarian cancer).
I think it so very sad that folks are not willing to let their kids get EDUCATED about all aspects of sex. getting educated is not the same thing as “doing” it. Or approving some aspect…

One daughter or 10 – teach them birth control and help them get what they need. Between the ages of 15-19 about 44% of girls report having had sex at least once according to the CDC.
People are wired to have sex. Even girls.

I was talking politics yesterday with a young man who seemed pretty much attuned to what is happening in this state and he seemed liberal, and then he mentioned that he wasn’t registered to vote because he thinks the GOP voters are too many to overcome. I told him too many people in this country feel the same and that’s the main problem.

State sanctioned killing, sex between two consenting people, it’s all the same, blood lust.

My thought: Hard to believe we still have this behavior and thought in 2015.

Looks like trying to properly educate children in Nebraska is analogous to running naked backwards through a cornfield while covered in butter.

Ouch! This is why we need strong, sustained community registration/voter support drives here, for local and state as well as national offices. Yes, it’s danged discouraging in every way these days… except one: I’ve seen more action from our local Dems lately than ever before. So maybe there will eventually be more hope as well.

Sadly, there were students from OPS there, interested in the meeting and wanting to learn, who were offended and upset by the hatred and uncivility they witnesses.
To their credit the OPS administration halted the meeting and did not back down from their goal of updating their curriculum.

This is why it’s good to have separation of church and state. These “church people”, “good christains” would/will be like ISIS. I don’t think I’m exaggerating, this is very telling.
