Discussion:

The irony of David Keene, the former head of the NRA, saying that someone has “become personally and tiresomely obsessed with his weird belief that anyone who doesn’t agree with him on everything all the time or treat him with the respect and deference he believes is his due, must be either ignorant of the dangers we face or, in extreme case, dupes of the nation’s enemies”, is simply more than I can take at this early hour.

The Prince of Darkness emerges.

Norquist would…

Bet’cha a few attack ads are being written at that meeting. The GOP tends to write them all by themselves.

Frank Gaffney has been consistently wrong about foreign policy since the Reagan Administration, why should anyone rely on his testimony except for someone who desires crazy-ass paranoia? We would all be better served if no news org even covered this crap. Keep idiots local, don’t build them a podium.

One must wonder then, if a Confederate Flag supporting group decided to hold a “Candidates Forum” how many of these bottom-rung also rans would gladly attend just to get in front of the microphone, and blather at their vaunted low-information voters?

Wow! Talk about your “A” listers. It couldn’t get any better than this. What a spectacular lineup!

The more I hear of these anti-Islamist cretins the more I’m beginning to see a pattern of demonizing the Shiite countries and peoples. Are these guys, like Fox News, funded by Saudis? I’d like to know where they get their support?

Here is a free idea that I urge someone with a data application background to explore. Create an application that that chronicles these individuals, what they say, the forum in which they say it, the financing of their initiatives, the fact checking of their claims, the times they are proven correct/ incorrect. After a time they will either be credible enough to be taken seriously or exposed as hopeless bullshit artists. Everyone wins.

A marketplace for fear and dread.

Does anyone remember why the moons of Mars are called Deimos and Phobos?

The Center for Security Policy, a think tank led by former Reagan administration official Frank Gaffney, is co-hosting the New Hampshire National Security Action Summit on Saturday of New Hampshire. Former Hewlitt Packard CEO Carly Fiorina is expected to speak at the summit in the first-in-the-nation primary state, while Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former New York Gov. George Pataki and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) are also expected to attend, a spokesman for the organization told The Keene Sentinel newspaper.

In other words, this is the Losers Bracket.

former Reagan administration official Frank Gaffney,

THIS, people, This… is the true danger from within… the Undying, Soul-less Shadow People of DC!

They swooped into town under Nixon’s leathery wings; roosted under Ronnie’s vacuous rafters; feasted on Pappy Bush’s “Thousand Points of Light”; and spawned their deformed offspring up W’s codpiece… excuse me… flightsuit.

They must be exposed to the light of day, and the ground they walk sown with salt! Or they shall rise up again to vex this nation!

(Bad Hammer Film analogy, i know; but you get my point)…

I’m surprised to see Pataki on the guest list since he is considered to be “moderate”. But then again at the 2004 RNC a few miles north of the WTC ruin he gave a speech conflating 9/11 and Iraq.

Wouldn’t do any good. Those who are capable of rational thought already know they’re hopeless bullsh*t artists. Those who aren’t capable of rational thought are impervious to any facts which would alter their distorted world view.
