Well I usually don’t agree with the likes of Krauthammer or Trump but in this case they are both spot on. Krauthammer is overrated and Trump is a nutcase that isn’t going anywhere. They are both assholes and I agree…when they each call the other that.

Trump as Republican candidate is simply the logical byproduct of the unholy alliance the GOP has made with the huckstering infotainment industry, of which FOX is a key player. (See Palin, S. and Gingrich, N.) Please note that Krauthammer fails to criticize his FOX bosses for pumping air into Trump at every possible turn. Really, why is Trump so much worse than the train wrecks that are Palin, Gingrich, Huckabee, et alia? None will ever hold political office in the future, and all are supremely compromised by reality. The political infotainment industry does not care, and neither do all of the consultants these faux-candidates hire. It’s a scam, and Dr. K. actually refuses to say so because he works for one of them.

It is great that two leading conservative intellectuals are having reasoned, civil and informed public discussion on calibrating the extent of xenophobia and bigotry desirable in a President of the United States. These discussions will be very helpful to the Republican party.
