Lowest labor participation rate since Carter. Most people on government support since the Depression. Year to year wages growth almost zero in constant dollars. Most of the economic growth in the oil and gas sector, which is counter to the administration goals of advancing alternatives, which have tanked. Record market due to excess liquidity from Fed policy, not actual growth.
Canāt stand Putin. I was at the airport in Donetsk two years ago when it was new, built for the World Cup crowds. You have seen it in news reports, shot up to hell. Most Ukrainians hate him.
Heās popular now because Russians have been bummed for years that they used to be a superpower, and now are a second world place. Heās acting tough, and they love it. But without foreign exchange from the energy sales his overspending will ruin the country. Same thing Reagan did to them in the 80s, outspend their economyās capacity to fund military goods, and you fall apart. Heās doing the same thing; but without the cashflow from oil and gas heās going to fall apart. Big question is will he fade away, or get more dangerous. Time will tell.

The site is called Talking Points Memo. I have been a conservative since realizing everyone I trusted was lying to me about Ronald Reagan, and he did not get us into a nuclear war with the Soviets. I have never seen any instructions from anyone on the right about what to talk about, and what to think. This seems to be a leftie phenomenon. Yes, Limbaugh and the bunch have strong opinions and they want to get others to think along the same lines, but compared to some on the left they are models of acceptance. Schultz, Maddow and Hartman are far less tolerant of other opinions than any national conservative. Well, maybe not Levin, but that is mostly passion, not hateā¦

By comparison to the rest of the world, weāre doing great. Think about how much better off weād all be if other countries, especially in Europe, had the sense to ignore the austerity calls of the same conservatives who screwed up the economy in the first place.
