Ummm, no, mr zinke. You have waaay too many ethical screw ups plus trying to steal the Dear Leader’s thunder is the … ahem … kiss of death. Jobwise.
Fuck Zinke and the pinto he rode in on. Actually, the horse has no fault in any of this.
You poor dumb motherfkers. You will blame, shift and belittle to save your own miserable a$$e$. Leave. Just leave. The REASON all this sht keeps happening is because you never vote policies FOR this country…instead you just fk with the people because…YOU. Sorry for my language. I hate the fkers.
In northern Wisconsin where I live, it’s commercial loggers who make the mess and leave it behind. They take the useful tree trunks and leave the branches where they lie . Clear cut fields are an absolute mess, you can’t even walk through one they are so thick with logging waste.
While a valid point , it is the same everywhere including the aforementioned states .
Development good - that’s all they know or care about.
It’s just that other states have
- more rain
- no Santa Anna winds
“We know the problem,” he continued.”It’s been years of neglect, and in many cases it’s been these radical environmentalists that want nature to take its course.”
So wanting nature to take its course is not God’s will? I’m so confused with this new Christianity.
I say …use the language. The first few years i was a member of this playground i was veeeerrry careful about language. But since trump was a candidate the filters have been put away in storage and what i say in my head gets posted… with small revisions.
This is the first time I can recall seeing PG&E called “radical conservationists”.
Between Houston, Puetro Rico, Florida and California, I think it’s a pretty clear pattern which disasters Rump thinks are caused by the locals.
Trump and Zinke are blaming the fires on environmentalists and environmental regulation.
No need to ask why!
Wait, am I in the right place? Is this the post about irony being dead?
Ya
Gave up trying to “understand” the fuckers
I say FEMA reeducation camps for all of them
Not only that, but overloaded logging trucks absolutely destroy the roads. One highway had deep ruts full of water to hydroplane on, the same year it was repaved. This in a district where Sean Duffy, whose claim to fame before MTV was an actor in the “lumberjack” tourist review, keeps winning 60_40…
Although I am sure you are aware of this your quote from the LA times really extends to more states and situations than Cali and fires. My wife the insurance maven has complained for years about states allowing people to build on flood plains or known unstable coastlines. As she says there are good reasons the insurance actuaries either do not allow or adamantly discourage issuing insurance in some situations much like this. Of coarse at the end of the day whether it is flood insurance in flood plains or Fed aid after hurricane destruction on the coast it is the taxpayers who pays the cost for rebuilding. Not much anyone can do about the personal costs of these events though. Perhaps rebuilding in the same places is not such a good idea.
Yes, and I thank you for spelling it out.
Wildland stewardship does indeed need to evolve. But it is certain that Zinky is not going to evangelize a balanced approach putting people first. Unless those people are in some industry that is lining his pockets.
“in many cases it’s been these radical environmentalists that want nature to take its course.”
Not that truth matters to these shitheads, but even to the extent that forest management affects these fires, this is exactly backwards. Fire intensity and volume has been dramatically increased by fire suppression and timber growth policies long promoted by the Forest Service. To the extent “radical environmentalists” (by which he presumably means scientists) have had any say, they’ve wanted to have more regular controlled burns to reduce the fuel load, which would be more like the natural cycle. Not that it makes much difference when there’s a major drought and the whole place is a tinderbox, but some of the other fires might have been reduced because of that.
Unlike tRump, this f*ck knows better.
Thanks for posting. Made my day.
Forest Trump!
