Unified republican party my ass. I think they may up missing Obama more than the rest of us. He provided cover for their empty rhetoric, but now the rubber will hit the road and hopefully drive them all off a cliff.

We can’t underestimate these scumbags. They will have to do something to appease their base. I think they will do some fine finagling of the ACA in order to make it look like its not ObamaCare. I don’t know any other way they could get out of doing something without doing anything. This should be interesting seeing what they actually do.

I hope Democrats have a good plan to counteract their bullshit.

First you vote to “phase out” Medicare, then destroying ACA will be a piece of cake…

because folks will make sure no one gets a piece of cake after their’s is taken away.

They’re the proverbial dog who caught the car. Now they have to get results and no excuses will fly. Maybe, in 2018, they can just blame the press again.

They change one iota and it’s on them when it inevitably fails because the insurance companies aren’t raking it in fast enough.

Nothing more unifying than a common enemy.

Why don’t we change the name from Affordable Care Act to DonaldTrumpcare Act? No other changes necessary, some relatively minor expenses with new computer graphics, stationary, and so on. Surely our newly elected Fearless Leader would agree.

Isn’t part of the problem that the folks who conceived the ACA, the Heritage Foundation not doing research since they became an idea place? If you type in Healthcare over there you get bupkis. So our bright Republican men will have to look where for what, that will pull their asses out of the fire that they started 6 years ago, and have continued to stoke.

I love the smell of Republican fat frying in the morning, it smells like defeat.

The individual mandate is what’s unpopular. It’s the key component in anything short of single payer.

Oh, and they don’t give a shit if they hurt people.

What’s even more outrageous than Trump being elected is these incompetent clowns campaigning on Obamacare repeal for this long, and now starting at square one on what to do about it. Oh, boy are we in for a crazy-ass, completely unplanned trip.

And we note that they plan all sorts of infrastructure spending of the variety that they went out of their way to block for 8 years while making Obama a one term President.
They will cut taxes while doing this running up the deficit and screwing up the economy to the point where once again Democrats will be called in to repair the damage.

And he can boast it’s a Republican plan .
Which it always was anyway.

If only they had had 6 years to find an alternative plan.

Poor Republicans. Legislatin’ is hard. Thinkin’ seems out of their reach.

Republicans attitudes have always been verbalized as’ “the American people elected us to do what we think is in their best interest, so we will”. STFU because we’re in charge now !

It will always be somebody else’s fault…always. Their legislative attacks will have the cutest string of titles like “The Make America Great Again Act No. 1” sequentially numbered thereafter. The press will then broadcast the wonders of the Republican controlled government. Cable news has already convened their vaunted panels to divert the responsibility for Trump’s election to Obama or Democratic ineptitude. Will people believe it ? Absolutely and they will take some shots at Hillary out of habit, you know, emails…oh yeah !!

Ultimately, it will be Obama and the Democrats who are responsible for the destruction of the ACA because the Repubs have said it and our “free press” will steamroll it into history. Perception is reality to a whole lot of people and that is unfortunate. The “press” will continue to defray responsibility from the Repubs as they want to continue the turmoil and that’s where the money is.

Despite the reported animosity Bannon has for Ryan, they are actually aligned on the issue of wiping out the welfare state. Bannon is a crony, laissez-faire, robber baron era capitalist & racist. He basically wants to bring in unbridled capitalism and his own version of Jim Crow. He will be an advocate for the Ryan plan and help get it passed. Afterwards, Bannon will look for a way to send Ryan overboard. Bannon probably favors quick action in order to make Ryan take the fall in the midterms.

My guess is that they will remove the requirements that insurance pay for cancer screenings, contraception, and vaccinations. Then they’ll rename it and present it to people who are deliriously happy with their replacement for O-care.

They’ll dance around long enough to do some propaganda, wait for the still somewhat volatile pricing to settle down, then some cosmetic tweaking, and relaunch the whole thing under “repeal and replace”…

But we’ll all know it was Obama who got it through – and the history books will reflect that.
