Discussion: Wyden Reintroduces Bill To Force Trump To Disclose Taxes

There was an article published here earlier this morning that covered this law and the House Chairman it applies to.

“[Neal] wants to lay out a case about why presidents should be disclosing their tax returns before he formally forces him to do it,” Ways and Means Committee spokesman Dan Rubin told Politico.

I guess Wyden didn’t get the memo…? :stuck_out_tongue:

I see no reason the House W&M Committee or Senate FC can’t just go to the IRS and say, “Gimme…”

Congress is conducting investigations. The law is clear. Thank you, 1924.

Thanks for this reminder about the 1924 provision. I personally have posted this a bunch of times in posting about Neal’s plans when it became clear he’d be chair of Ways and Means. Should be easy pickings since the moron has boasted about making “hundreds of millions” in his deals with Saudis. More good news on what Richard Neal is looking to do:

He and committee Democrats also would play a key role in the party’s attempts to stabilize the Affordable Care Act, address high prescription drug costs, negotiate a potential infrastructure investment bill with Mr. Trump and pass legislation requiring all but the smallest employers to provide 401(k) retirement plans.

And that’s why God made Democrats.
