Jared Kushner : Dude, have you seen my IOUs lately ?
So, like, who cares? Kushner and his in-laws are already in hock to Putin and his people, what’s one more? I mean, once you’re on the take, can you get more dishonest?
And it’s no surprise to learn that Wendi has denied everything. Because, well, if she were involved in such things, she’d, of course, immediately cop to it. Just like that Russian lawyer who only wanted to “talk about adoptions” did…
And there’s a problem with this? I mean, isn’t that what you do - use people and your relationship with them to get what you want? It’s all transactional, and if Murdoch and China comes out ahead of the U.S., but the Kushners get what they need,…it’s all good, right?
Jared/Ivanka: Proof positive that inherited wealth does not confer inherited intelligence and wisdom. One well was dry.
When the backlash comes for the national-security disaster these traitorous fools have visited on us, I hope with all my heart that it’s comprehensive and savage. Let’s be like the French, eh? Post-WWII, Reign of Terror, it’s all good.
This guy has so many different people holding him by the nuts he’ll never piss in private again.
Don’t the Murdochs still own the WSJ? If the story is true, then it’s true … but reporting that implies your ex-wife/ex-step-mom is a spy is a little weird, right?
Murdoch says she’s a spy himself.
Jared and Ivanka seems as dumb headed as Donald’s sons just slightly less public about it.
Note to rich, shallow tycoons: those comely young women from countries with extensive intelligence services may not in fact be attracted to you for your aura of power or your fortune.
Rupert has long claimed that she is working for Chinese intel, and has been for many years, including while married to him.
If true, however, she is an incredibly high valued asset over the years. The marriage to Rupert, she dated Tony Blair and is widely reported to have dated/is still dating Putin. Not to mention the obvious influence on Ivanka and Jared.
US warned Kushner, what about Rupert himself, did he know? Did he inform the FBI? Is he the Manchurian Candidate? This is a person is owns one of the most powerful newspapers and TV channels and nobody is investigating him, what gives?
Oh, gosh, I had totally forgotten about the Putin aspect…
Curiouser and curioser.
Yeah, sorry, but my money is on some future Democratic administration that “lets bygones be bygones” in order “to heal as a nation”. See Bush and Cheney for reference.
Next thing, we’ll be hearing of the naughty weekend WonderKush and Rocketman spent together…
So from Rupert Murdoch to Tony Blair to Vladimir Putin, while picking up the Trumps as bffs along the way. Wendi Deng might be one of the most effective spies of the last decade. Mad game.
Well he’s an Australian citizen so I’m not sure how much investigation we can do on him.
This story also throws in the part about Steve Wynn lobbying at the behest of the Chinese gov’t to return an alleged fugitive to China. The WSJ points out that Wynn has casinos in Macau which cannot operate with out a government license.
We’re seeing more clearly how Russia and China compromise people by capitalizing on shared business interests and exploit those interests for their own political agenda. These conflicts of interest make people like the Trumps very easy marks. Kushner is desperate for financing for his bad investments, as is Trump. Both are open to money launderers. Russia and China have taken advantage of these relationships between money launderers from their countries and the Trumps to further compromise them and push their agenda. I view this article as foreshadowing about the things the Mueller investigation (and the separate Federal inquiry into
Kushner) will reveal.
In terms of financial crimes, the Trumps have made it perfectly clear that they are open for business to anybody who wants to launder money. That should be a crime. We know this happened all through 2017 as many Trump properties were sold to nameless/faceless LLCs, a tell tale sign of illicit money. Among the many things I hope for in 2018 (indictments, guilty pleas, convictions and resignations), I do hope our laws will punish money laundering. That corruption needs to be eliminated from our society.
