“So far the only communication we’ve had with acting OMB Director Vought on the subject is whether we can postdate refund checks and, if so, for how long,” said John Koskinen, commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service.
Surprised by the unusual query, Koskinen said he later learned that the idea originated from the White House.
“Evidently this is a standard practice at The Trump Organization whenever it opts to pay vendors and contractors,” he said. “The IRS has no plans to adopt this technique to delay taxpayers’ refunds at this time.”
Yet another clear sign of what happens when there are masses of incompetent people running agencies for this administration. They don’t have a clue about how things work, no one to talk to that would know, so they, just like their leader, spews stuff out of their mouths.
OT: Is anyone but me noticing that, despite Trump’s insanity and the shutdown, a lot more people are smiling around here? Yes, I can see your smiles. I’m just psychic that way.
They’re learning the hard way and trying every goddamn loophole to make it less “painful.” Good luck imbeciles. Soon we’ll be reading that Trump is going to “subsidize” the laid-off workers.
Of course not. They’re learning on the job, in between grifting and embezzling. They were sure government is broken anyway, so they figured no one would notice.
Of course the payments will go out. Trump will declare a National Tax Emergency and issue an executive order… And the Republican Senate will send a few tweets about the rule of law, then shut up and do nothing.
2 for victory! After I posted my comment, it hit me that someone might think I meant the middle finger. I reserve it for when donnie or his minions show up tv. I would never give you guys the one digit salute .
