Discussion for article #247444
Eric Trump just has this beady-eyed look that screams sitting around the office telling āoff-colorā jokes.
āThe politics of resentment against other people will not just leave us a fractured party, theyāre going leave us a fractured nation.ā (former presidential candidate GOP Sen. Marco Rubio)
Sen. Rubio may be lazy but he is far from stupid. Heās spot-on with this observation, and Iām pleased he has the guts to admit the obvious. I donāt like, nor do I agree with, his core political beliefs ā especially regarding civil rights. If his party ever finds itself on solid footing nationally, Rubio is somebody to watch. Again, thatās if the GOP can remove a majority of the dead weight that is the evangelical Nazis and the likes of Arkansasās Senator Tom Cotton ā someone else to watch. Depending on whatever kind party the GOP decides itself to be, Cotton is someone else to keep an eye on. I think Rubio had thought of himself the ācompassionate conservativeā in the mold of the Bush presidents, but he failed to come to grips that anything Bush is like trying to swim with an extra couple five-pound weights tucked into your drawers.
I hope we on the Left can keep all of the Democratic votersāthe new, young and oldāinterested enough to make the effort to vote. My impetus is always the SCOTUS and how important it can be to helping set a direction for our society and the world at-large.
edited for clarity and spelling.

Ten extra āLikesā for that, Austin_Dave! LOL.
Heās got the same constipated/fecal impacted look as his old man.
Why the headline, āWith Rubio Out, Trump Takes Aim At The GOPā? This piece is all about Rubio. Trump takes no āaimā in it.
If President Obama has made his decision on whomever he will nominate to SCOTUS, I hope his press conference pokes a hole in Trumpās āIām The Greatest, Yuugest, Most Spectacularā balloons heās likely to have after last nightās primary voting results.
So the Tea Party now rejects the Tea Party candidates and chooses instead a hopelessly incompetent liar, narcissist and buffoon. Well, that makes perfect sense. If you canāt get your handpicked people to do what you want, go for the man who declares he is beholding to no one, who changes policy positions with every audience, who insists that videotape of himself making a pronouncement doesnāt prove it ever happened nor does it hold him to that proclamation, and whose most notable achievement on the campaign trail is inciting violence, unifying all fact checkers against him, and dragging the Republican Party to the cliffs of Hell.
Gee, who wouldnāt support such a man? Indeed, with enthusiasm and wild abandon!
Good riddance. Rubioās nice hair and teeth helped conceal much of the intrinsic viciousness that is everything the man and his party stands for. The only other thing he had going for him relative to The Rump was being somewhat less likely to inadvertently start a pointless war by shooting off his mouth.
GOP voters are fed up with the do nothing House and Senate and want more than 60 show votes to repeal Obamacare
The media is complicit in Evilās goose-stepping march to power.
The actual proposal is to establish a religious litmus test for being in America.
How will the government ban Muslims except by asking everyone to declare their religious affiliation to a bureaucrat, who will look it up on his list of government-approved religions? And, if Republicans are so committed to this policy, why arenāt Republican entrepreneurs checking it now at their many businesses?
Jockich will NOT take the low road to the highest office. What do you call cutting state taxes to the wealthy and increasing sales taxes and cutting tax money to cities and towns so real estate taxes increase? This disgusts me, when they talk about superficial things like naughty words and āunpleasantnessā yet their own actions are far more vile and reprehensible. They are without conscience or soul. He was a high mucky-muck at Lehman Brothel ⦠'nuff said.
The GOP is going to crash and burn, and it is going to be glorious to watch.
Sadly, it seems that the press these days would rather give breathless coverage to Donald Drumpf taking a massive shit than devote airtime to anything else.
The Savior is gone to practice His robot routine, dick and urination jokes. The Face of The God We All Love is still around.
Marco just isnāt an aggressive enough liar to be a good flip flopper. The truth might be an option, except the man hasnāt a single good idea, either. He should really just go ride his fishing boat and be proud of advancing to the regionals.
Iām reminded of the scene from Animal House where Dean Wormer has just put the Deltas on double-secret probation and asks the president of the Omegas to find him a pretext to shut down the Delta House. āPut Niedermeyer on it ā heās a sneaky little shit ā just like you, right?ā
Thatās how both Rubio and Cotton come across to me: sneaky little self-righteous shits.
On the Democratic voter front, Iāve spoken with a few of our students who are campaigning for Sanders. Each has said a variation on the same thing: āVote Blue in November.ā Iāve told them, āDamned straight ā and tell your friends the same thing.ā
My favorite moment last night came when Kasich pointed out that his father was a lifelong Democrat (Dad was smarter than sonny-boy, clearly) and thanked all the Democrats who crossed over to vote for him.
I was one of those Democrats ā so was Mrs. Strad. I shouted back at the TV, āDonāt thank me asshole. The only reason I voted for you was to fuck up your partyās nominating process.ā I know other Ohio Dās who did the same thing I did.
Given the structure of the ballots ā there were only two contested elections on my precinctsā Democratic ballot ā I would have opted for the Republican ballot anyway. I have an innate abhorrence of Soviet Central Committee elections (vote for any candidate you want as long as its this one). I deliberately undervote them: I donāt want the candidates to think I approve of them.
His is a very punchable face. Not that a good liberal like myself would promote violence, Iām just saying.
Can I pick a grammatical and admittedly picayune nit?
In an attempt to take down Trump, Rubio sunk to Trumpās rhetorical level.
The preterite of that strong verb in English is, of course, sank. Iām pretty confident that a pushy editor is ultimately to blameā¦
