It might be useful to revisit the “put-on-a-good-front” routine of a few of Drumpf’s allies. Manafort, in scenes before and during his trial, bounced from limo to building with an ecstatic expression on his face. Flynn had a quiet confidence and, in fact, smiled more while being shown in his legal jeopardy than he ever did BEFORE that.
When he led the chant of “Lock Her Up” at the RNC in 2016, he looked like the audience was telling HIM to get locked up.

It’ll be interesting to see if, like Manafort, he gets himself locked up prior to sentencing. I previously predicted any forthcoming pardons would occur during the 2018 lame duck period, obviously none happened. So anyone pardon-shopping today has to assume the window is closed until lame duck 2020. If his attorney can stall sufficiently and he avoids liberty-fatal stunts, he could postpone sentencing to late 2020.
