When Plessy v. Ferguson is reinstituted it should make for interesting times.

One thing the right has been transparent about is the plan to overturn settled law. It’s a feature, not a bug of the system.

With the passing of every week I get more angry; and at the same time more sad with the thought that this will not end well. This is not so much rational as the envisioning of a trajectory toward national misery that now seems unavoidable to me.

I’m curious about this particular case though. Suing a state in another state’s courts doesn’t seem to make sense to me.

Apparently Conservatives don’t know what the word means.

There are still sleepyheads among us.

Even with this…

There should be an overwhelming support for Impeachment. It should be 55+% FOR.

A sponsor of an Ohio abortion bill says you can reimplant ectopic pregnancies. You can’t.

If he spoke up it would be the second time in twenty years he’s verbalized an opinion on anything of import in public.

Hopefully someone will lead the way. May he or she step forward.

I do not want to spend time looking backwards but Democrats should have put the Supreme Court at the very forefront of their platform.for the 2016 election.

Now we have this and it could get worse until we have a chance to bring it to a full stop in 2020.

Anyone here think Mitch will hold off voting on another SCOTUS nominee until the voters speak in 2020??

If Row v. Wade goes out the door what do you think the current crew of feckless Democrats are going to do about it?

I am so, so tired of this cruel minority that is ruling this country. It is so damn depressing that they are forcing this great experiment to fail when it could still so easily succeed and thrive. I’m beginning to wonder if we’re going to see this once great nation formally divide. Will I live to see it? I’m almost certain my children will. It terrifies me.

More poisoning of the well. I loathe these people.

Everyone is talking about this decision in light of Roe v Wade for good reason but I think there’s another precedent we should worry about being overturned. It’s the 1974 decision in US v Nixon that Nixon had to surrender the subpoenaed tapes. Conservatives prove their hypocrisy yet again. They’re actually quite comfortable legislating from the bench.

If we don’t win the senate in 2020, even with a Democratic President, there’s no way Mitch will allow a vote on any nominee that president makes. 5-2 decisions once Breyer and RBG are gone .

Shorter Breyer: “The fix is in.”

And because it never, ever gets old …
