Discussion: WI Dem Lt. Gov. Candidate: 2009 Lingerie Party Theme Was 'Immature'

Barnes also said he didn’t remember if he attended the party or not.

Yeah, I've known many young, virile, heterosexual men in my life that have forgotten lingerie parties, orgies, threesomes, just about any sexually titillating event you care to name. Ho-hum, been there, done that. Now, that Knicks-Celtic contest back in '04? Remember every second, whistle to horn.

Gosh. Sounds like some consensual shit went down, fun was had by all and women who chose to wear lingerie did so because they own their bodies and get to make those decisions for themselves. How awful.

Lingerie partying while black. He’s lucky he wasn’t killed by some cop.

It sounds like consensual titillation occurred. Heaven forfend.

I’ll add this to the list of “gotchas” that Republicans think think they understand.

Or who walked through the dressing room where female pageant contestants were scantily clad while commenting about their bodies.

I wonder if Blake Farenthold was invited?

Blake was never welcome, even at the events he was invited.

Some days it seems as if the Democrats are competing to out-sleaze the Republicans. The Dems are loosing. Badly. But they’re trying.

Well, I guess that this just proves that Wisconsinites should re-elect Scott Walker. /s Geez.

Plus security to keep the gents in line. How irresponsible.

The WI GOPers can go boof themselves (but open the window afterward, because everyone knows that it’s a reference to flatulence).

Don’t forget that that asshole did that when the contestants were TEENAGED GIRLS.

Yeah, I was sitting here reading it trying to find the problem. “Ratchet” was a very common inner city slang term (until white people started saying it) to mean any person, although usually women, who is just a hot mess.

“I won’t take lectures from a Republican Party whose standard bearer today called a woman ‘Horseface,'” Barnes said.

Boom! Perfect response.

“I was tagged as a host of an event on fb,” Barnes texted. “People get tagged/added as a co-host all the time.”

The Wisconsin Republican Party alerted The Associated Press to the invitation. Republican Party spokesman Alec Zimmerman said it showed that Barnes’ actions “don’t match his empty words and promises.” He condemned use of the word “ratchet” — slang for a person with no class — in describing women who would be turned away from the party."

I hate it when someone turns in this direction. If you were young and immature, embrace it, own and show what you have done since. As long as everything was up and up, then okay you partied hard at 22. Don’t go Kavanaugh on everyone.

The Republicans and their Oligarch Master SuperPACS are panicking and are at the “Throw it ALL AT THE WALL AND SEE WHAT STICKS!!! NOW!!!” stage.

Every single op-research bit they have is now being spun in dark, dystopian ads as a direct threat to White People Everywhere!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

This is just a dog-whistle to bring up the old saw of “Black Man a THREAT to White Women Everywhere!!!”

Pitiful and transparent. Show me a 22 year old who did not attend any parties in college and I will show you a Republican Senator from Texas that even his own political party hates.

GOTV.

This post makes no sense… Except as an opportunity to say derogatory things about Dems.

Exactly… TPM carrying water instead of doing journalism. Makes me wonder why I bother to pay for this crap.
