It is hard to see Equifax surviving this financially.
And it’s hard to see how those execs don’t soon plead guilty to insider trading.
“Equifax has a website, https://www.equifaxsecurity2017.com/, where people can check if their information may have been stolen. Consumers can also call 866-447-7559 for information. The company also says it will send mail to all who had personally identifiable information stolen.”
Do NOT go to that site! It is insecure and tries to con you into agreeing to not sue Equifax. I can’t believe you posted an article that doesn’t explain that.

This major catastrophic breach of half the country’s Social Security Numbers means we need a new national identification system that ushers out the SSN while requiring all citizens to apply for a state of the art National Identification Card that must be used for everything imaginable. Let’s get tough on Identity Crime!
They know almost everything about you anyway in this day and age, so why not just go whole hog, and make it a national priority to eliminate cyber crime through mandatory Nazionale ID?
