The media has dropped the ball on this. Not once in this article or in interviewing WH staff has the point that Trump said over and over during and after the campaign that Mexico would pay for the wall. Now Trump is coming to the taxpayer with his tin cup (since Mexico told him to fuck off) asking for money to get his wall built. Not to mention using that funding as blackmail. Trump did not say during the campaign that he would stick the cost of the wall with the taxpayer and then maybe ask Mexico for an unspecified amount on some unspecified future date. He just said that Mexico would pay for the wall. The media should be relentless on this point because he blatantly lied.
