This might be somewhat related, but a few weeks ago there was an article somewhere – wish I’d saved a link – that said that in anticipation of Trump’s promised tax cuts, many wealthy individuals and corporations are opting to defer income to the following year, when they’ll reap the benefits of their hoped-for tax cuts.

This, the article contended, is among the factors leading to lower tax revenues collected for this year and is driving the deficit higher.

I think The Donald should personally demonstrate how tax cuts create more revenue - by cutting his hotel rate to $5 per night and club memberships to $20 per year (with no cuts to benefits and services, of course!)

Just think how Huge that would be! Waiting lists years long! Very satisfied customers worldwide! And all that buzz about the low rates! Trump wouldn’t have to spend a penny on advertising!

And while we’re at it, let’s help oil companies succeed Bigly by capping gasoline at $.35 a gallon! Bring back the Hummers and V8s! Sales would go through the roof!

(…I’d love to see the GOP try to explain why they wouldn’t support price cuts to ‘grow the economy’! After all, they’ve been claiming it’s been working so well for Federal revenues for decades…)
