Discussion: White House Punts On When Trump Knew That Michael Flynn Lied To FBI

Keep asking that same question, every day. Until we have an answer. Make her bring the attorney out.

  1. The White House says Donald Trump’s tweets are official statements.
  2. Donald Trump tweeted that he knew Flynn lied to the FBI when Trump asked Flynn for his resignation.
  3. Therefore either:
    a) The White House says Trump knew at the time Flynn resigned.
    b) The White House says Trump lied in an official White House statement.

This is not rocket science.

When pressed again about why it’s a legal matter, Sanders said she’s “going to listen to the attorneys on this one.”

“John Dowd will hopefully follow up with you in short order,” she said.

Great. Based on precedent, Dowd will probably provide yet one more item to his disbarment evidence list.

You realize they have been getting really quiet in the last few days. Don Jr. and Prince with their non-answers and do not recalls coupled with dismissive arrogance. There is a lot of distraction out there, but keep your eye on the ball.

Then it will become that attorney client thing.

“I refuse to answer on the grounds that it might incriminate me.”

OT but this is good news. Go to Shibley Telhami’s tweet feed to see the break down by party.

Isn’t the entire point of having a trained lawyer take the phone out of DJT’s hands, and legalistically tweet, in an attempt to help your client, DJT…

turned upside down by then having to claim that the lawyer’s incriminating tweet is actually (wrongly) more incriminating than what DJT has tweeted?

God, we’ve been living in the Upside Down too long…

  1. Except when they aren’t and besides he was just joking.
  2. Except they said that he didn’t, but even if he did, there’s nothing wrong in what he said.
  3. Except they never said that and even if they did, it wasn’t necessarily accurate and even if it was, what was the question?
  4. He was just joking. Fake news.

Hillary Clinton is a National or World Leader?

If only that were so.

I love this - I think it’s the truest thing by way of a poll I’ve seen. It says it all and especially the Independents - I knew that if they had voted for him they were disenchanted by now.

Yes, at least some independents are experiencing buyer’s remorse. I’ve talked to a few who fit that description. I try not to rub it in too hard, but it’s difficult not to – as in “what the fuck did you THINK you’d be getting when you ordered that dumpster full of burning manure?”

I know a few other self-described indys who still support Trump – but they’re the kind of so-called independent who doesn’t register as a Republican, but always votes for them (or maybe stays home, but definitely doesn’t vote Dem).

What I found interesting was Trump is the #1 most disliked by Republicans, Indies, and Democrats. Of course the margin for Dems is much higher but the overall results gave me hope.

He is “crafting” a tweet for Trump’s account right now…I swear, it’s time for the WH Press Corpse to start boycotting these dog and pony shows. We all know that Scarah is going to lie about the President and his activities; why give her the satisfaction of even showing up??

And the Pew poll is more bad news from Trump. 63% disapprove before the end of his first year.
