We’re schizophrenic.
No we’re not!
Yes we are!
Hang on a minute while listen to the voices in my head…

Oh yeah, I forgot

Ahh. The plot sickens.

As David Mamet has one of his characters say, "Always tell the truth, George, it’s the easiest thing to remember.

I can’t imagine why Trump’s people don’t want him to have a sit down with Mueller. He’d be great. The best.

Pressed again on whether Shulkin resigned, Schlapp said, “Gen. Kelly offered him the opportunity to resign. At this point the President said it was time to move on in terms of Veterans Affairs. He thanked Secretary Shulkin for his service.”

"When you're looking at an issue as either black or white it's logical gray is the answer when you factor in opposing perceptions."

In a typical employment situation, the employee is given the opportunity to resign before you fire him.

TRUMP: No chaos. No chaos. YOU’RE THE CHAOS!! Fake News!

This might be an issue that breaks Trump’s stranglehold on the GOP congress. Or at least nets 5 or 6 senators looking to redeem their honor.

Shulkin needs to stick to his guns. Apply for unemployment, just to establish, on the record, that he was fired without cause. Then take them to court when they deny it.

Keep changing your story, guys, and you will eventually get it right.

In case you didn’t know, for rich people being asked to resign is exactly the same as being fired.

It’s really not that hard. Pick one lie and stick to it.

OMG I just can’t even find the right words for this. They can’t even keep their story straight on this. He resigned but was then offered the opportunity to resign…? So then now he was fired after you stood by what you said in the beginning? And it’s now Kelly that said he could resign? Kelly, who said Rep Wilson was grandstanding on stage when the video showed she wasn’t? That Kelly???

Wow. I cant wait to see these slimey classless trashy low life liars gone from office. What else are they lying about?

And he also wrote this exchange, which might be more apt for this maladministration:

Joe White: The girl was in the car.
Walt Price: I treated you like a son or a nephew.
Joe White: It’s not about you.
Walt Price: No? What’s it about, then?
Joe White: I have to tell the truth.
Walt Price: That, that is just so narrow!

That lying sack of shit racist John Kelly is an incompetent scumbag that lies over and over. He can’t get simple things done right without making a mess. I guess all the military training in the world can’t teach courage, character and integrity. What a spineless, worthless sack of shit.

Intriguing argument by the logic of which everyone who can resign already has.

The administration needs it to be a resignation, because then Trump can bypass the next in line for someone he prefers - in this case, someone who is on board with privatization.

So, there’s an acting head not previously at the VA, who doesn’t know if he will be sticking around, and there’s someone who would ordinarily be named acting head, who doesn’t know if he will ever have official authority to act.

And we have a nominee who has no experience running any kind of organization, who is either going to have to get up to speed in record time, or is going to rely on political appointees who do not have the best interests of veterans at heart.

Meanwhile, who is in charge of this vast bureaucracy? Does anyone care about the continuity of management, or will we just let the inevitable consequences of this bureaucratic ping-pong game affect veterans’ care as this wends its broken way through the many layers of administrative and legal procedures?

Can we just lay to rest the myth that Donald Trump cares about veterans? And for the love of God, can we cancel the goddamn parade and put that money to use for veterans?

Banana Republic inaction (and I don’t mean the clothing stores)

In response to your questions:
[1] No one is in charge, in the sense of accepting responsibility and taking action.
[2] No, none of the C-people care in the least.
[3] Donald Trump cares greatly about veterans. He wants the VA to be sure that every veteran has access to covfefe on a regular basis.
[4] The parade will be a beautiful parade that will honor and uplift and buoy the spirits of veterans everywhere. Nothing makes a vet’s heart skip a beat like seeing an M-1 tank ripping up the streets of D.C. The parade will not be cancelled, and Mexico will pay for it if the Department of Defense doesn’t.

Why did they even lie about this. Is there something that’s going to come out in hearings that will suddenly blow things sky high? (Hmm, I thought of one possibility: Ronny will be under oath about the details of the president’s medical exam.)

Is there anything about which this administration doesn’t lie, at least initially? Anything? Is there any reason we should trust them on any claim whatsoever?
