Discussion: White House Hits Back At Giuliani

Giuliani and the “He said, She said” media continues to dumb down political discourse in this country. The selective deafness of Republicans and media frauds at Fox and MSNBC (Mitchell and Scarborough to name a few) is tiresome. The “I haven’t heard Obama say . . . .” charade is laughable whether used by Rudy the Serial Adulterer, or Andrea “mumbles” Mitchell. Obama’s critics choose to see and hear only what their limited intellects and their self-serving interests allow them to, yet they know they have the media at their service, because that is the way the game is played.

I don’t think Guiliani says anything these days that he’s not paid to say. If true, I’d think it is more like pie-hole prostitution than an echo chamber.

For goodness sake, can’t one reporter refer Rudy to the President’s State of the Union Addresses? The worst part is that Rudy has achieved what he wanted. He got his hate to be brought up in a WH press corps conference. Which mainstreams his hate since the media gladly accepts what he says and turns it into a question to the WH press spokesman,.

Rudy is just another simple-minded right winger who self-righteously wraps himself in the flag and indignantly declares that “love of America” and patriotism are character attributes exclusive to those who share his political ideology.

I don’t know who is responsible for crowing Rudy “America’s Mayor”, but if America loved him so much why couldn’t he win a primary?

Whoa: careful there about labeling people things they never were, especially since they could never be, because of age, country of birth, and … well, that’s the full list. Anyway, suggesting that Rudy Guiliani woulda been a follower of that nice Mister Hillter or the between-wars German national socialist party is completely wrong.

Now, if you’d suggested he’s a fascist, my response would be entirely different.

From the source article used for this Wikipedia entry, an article in the Village Voice by Wayne Barret, dated July 4, 2000:

But bar tabs weren’t the only debts Harold collected. He had come a long way since the spring day more than 14 years ago when he mugged a milkman. Now the crimes he committed were part of an organized criminal enterprise. Known as the “muscle” behind the loan-sharking operation, Harold was Leo’s collection agent, recouping money that had been loaned out and was now overdue.

Most debtors would pay at the bar, slipping an envelope to Harold across the counter. In the mid to late '50s, Harold collected as much as $15,000 a week, tapping dozens of debtors. The “vig” usually began at a stifling 150 percent and rose with the passing of each week. Many people borrowed money to pay rent or foot a business expense and would pay back four or five times the amount they borrowed. There were no excuses for being late.

One afternoon, a man reluctantly entered the bar to apologize to Harold, saying that he didn’t have the money—could he have just one more week? Frowning, Harold reached under the bar, out of sight, and gripped his baseball bat. As the man before him continued pleading for an extension, Harold swung the bat, cracking him flat across the face, sending him back a few feet. “Don’t be late again,” Harold said, according to an eyewitness.

That was the gist of Harold’s job: enforce Leo’s law through threats or violence. He shoved people against walls, broke legs, smashed kneecaps, crunched noses. He gave nearby Kings County Hospital a lot of business.

“People in the neighborhood were terrified of him,” said a frequent customer at Vincent’s, who was one of Leo’s son Lewis’s best friends and whose family borrowed money from Leo.

In fairness, we’re not the target, nor is all but a very thin sliver of this society. His primary targets are the white billionaire political donor types, white paranoid business types, and Roger Ailes. And his saying hateful, inaccurate, inane, malicious and racist things like this will never cause him to be refused access to his primary targets.

fight back and pile he earned it

It’s not for many whites either.

But — wait — what about that time Giuliani made the call to take down Bin Laden?

It is so much simpler than that.

Here’s the real deal. President Bush got elected and controlled all the cards. The House, the Senate, and the presidency. And for six years they allowed their buddies to run rampant and once again like they always do that allowed them to loot a segment of the economy. Except this time it was Wall Street and the Banks. That actually crashed the world economy and the Great Recession in the US.

So then all they could do was demonize the next liberal/progressive/Democrat to come along to clean up the mess. And it was only good luck that person happened to be black and they had billions of dollars to throw against him and set us back to the 1960’s.

And hell folks, let’s not pretend that is not working.

Hitting back at Giuliani isn’t punching down, its picking on a geek.
The lisping loser is so envious of what President Obama has accomplished twice and whilst being only half as white as him, that he is having conniptions.

Rudy Giuliani; inferior candidate even with double the whitening and extra smarm.

Rudy "9-11 9-11 9-11"and his rich neocon buddies refuse to rebuild our infrastructure, but love endless war, and not pay for it, ever. Is he planning to run for Prez again after spending $25 million in 2008’ and winning one state, FloriDUH?

Reagan loved America so much he turned it into an oligarchy hurtling towards collapse. That’s not love, that’s enabling.

Which is the goal-- political fatigue.

I’m sure most non-white Americans, and that includes folks with mixed parents, have had a different experience living in America than whites. And that may make what they feel toward America as it is, different than America as it could, and should, be.

I can see your difficulty. He didn’t use the term “9-11” enough.

This foul mouthed SoaB does have a problem with black people. He was proud to break their balls as mayor, having used the now notorious Broken Window policies. NYC’s Italians used to get alone well with blacks and other minorities. But, all changed when he became their hero, and the relationship between these communities deteriorated. I couldn’t stand him from day one, when he was running as mayor of NYC. Indeed, I became a newly registered voter to cast my vote against him. Many black men–Dialo, Bell, etc – were killed by that tactic and his insensitivity to the community. He’s responsible for ruining the lives of lots of minorities by stamping them with criminal records and jail/prison time for BS. Further, there’s even problems in recruiting black men today with clean criminal records to balance the police force, due to him. From day one, when he was running for president, he couldn’t resist saying negatitive stuff about the front running Obama. It sucked that he wasn’t hit by few of Gotti’s men before becoming mayor.
