Meh. I’m not sure collating the anonymous backstabbing leaks of this leakiest of White Houses serves much purpose. The real journalists IMHO are out there getting the goods, or helping people step back and really see what’s happening to their society and world.

As Glenn Greenwald has pointed out many times, Woodward releases classified information all the time and gets exactly zero push back from law enforcement; but, Chelsea Manning does it and it’s prison time. Woodward is an insider hack who’s sold his integrity for access. Nothing in that book will be seriously damaging to the Orange Oaf because it will immediately be labeled “fake news” and Woodward will be correctly tied to the establishment. Both those claims will be enough to placate Trump’s gullible, credulous base.

Half of the people in the WH are only there to be in the “charmed circle” with access to big name people. They’re gullible enough to want to be Woodward’s groupies, 'cause, man, they made a movie about him, ya know.
Plus, as @joriep said, everybody wanted to spew their own poison on all the other snakes.

“In the administration” - hell, what human being with an IQ above room temperature would want to see anyone’s Pulitzers? I’m sure we could all name Pulitzer Prize winners we’d love to have a conversation with - but just to see someone’s Pulitzer? I can’t understand that.

Yes, because Woodward is a journalist and Manning isn’t, and the publication of classified documents in the public interest is protected by the First Amendment (see the Pentagon Papers case) and no journalist in US history has ever been prosecuted for publishing classified documents leaked to them, and Greenwald knows this because he is a professional US journalist covering national security issues.
He couldn’t not know it. It would be like a professional airline pilot not knowing that JFK and La Guardia airports serve New York. No, it would be like a professional airline pilot not knowing that it’s pull to go up and push to go down.
Why he persists in lying about it is an interesting question.

The only reason we even know Woodward’s name is because he was lucky enough to have Mark Felt as his “Deep Throat” source.
He had been at the Post only 9 months when Watergate broke. Couldn’t even write a proper article. Didn’t know the players. Didn’t know Washington. Didn’t know his political history…
Bernstein is the brains and experience behind Woodward’s fame.

The book, which will be released on Sept. 11, will include interviews that spanned hundreds of hours with sources inside the White House, according to the book’s publisher Simon & Schuster. Woodward was also able to obtain meeting notes, files, and personal diaries from inside the White House.

The expected tenor of the book is underscored by its unsettling cover, an extreme close-up of a squinty-eyed Trump depicted through a gauzy red filter. The hush-hush project derives its title from an offhand remark that then-candidate Trump made in an interview with Woodward and Washington Post political reporter Robert Costa in April 2016. Costa asked Trump whether he agreed with a statement by then-President Barack Obama, who had said in an Atlantic magazine interview that “real power means you can get what you want without having to exert violence.”
At first Trump seemed to agree, saying: “Well, I think there’s a certain truth to that. . . . Real power is through respect.”
But then he added a personal twist: “Real power is, I don’t even want to use the word: ‘Fear.’ ”

Meh. Woodward and Derschowitz are two corn kernels in the same turd…has-been media whores more concerned with getting a tan from the spotlight than anything else. I expect the book to be mostly fluff and a refusal to name names. That being said, Woodward’s “fame”, such as it is, is entirely dependent upon peppering his nonsense with sufficient real dirt and journalism that he can get away with his shtick. While the book will probably be largely just a collection of back-biting gossipy nothingburgers, maybe he’ll at least have found good buns.
We’ll see though. There’s always the possibility that he’s as horrified as the rest of us and managed to grow a conscience and a spine…pfffffffffhahahahahahahahahaha…

Be careful how you phrase that. There are parts of the country where “room temperature” is approaching genius level.

I did read this…it’s one thing to be lured by a reporter to his home and another to spill the beans.
