The Senate is in session when it says it is.

But what the Senate does in order to be in session is comparable to sitting shiva minus the ritual garments…

It’s worth to underline the fact that this was a SCOTUS UNANIMOUS decision. All 9 justices ruled that President Obama overstepped his powers thus proving that he does not care about US laws or even the Constitution when it comes to do what he wants. Time for His Majesty (in his own mind) to come back to earth and deal with things as “We The People” decided it should be done.

What is the status of all of the things that “recess” appointed positions have done? Are they retroactively invalid?

What horrible thing inside you compels you to make those kinds of hateful comments? I think you need an exorcist.

You idiot, George W. Bush as well as St. Ronnie the Dead have done the exact same things. W recess appointed John “sings as badly as a contestant on American Idol” Bolton. And while it’s highly unlikely they’ll be a Republican president anytime soon, if there is one again someday he (because you guys despise women) will be held to the same standard. And if there is a Republican president again someday, Democrats will repay people like you and do the same shit to him that these trash life Republicans have done to Obama. So I would hold your applause if I were you.

This decision is NOT about President Obama…it is about making appointments during pro forma sessions.

What really needed to happen was the elimination of those fake sessions where they gavel in for 30 seconds and than gavel out every 3 days …

The appointments that were made to the NCLB during at the time were withdrawn and resubmitted and they all were confirmed…

Um, no. It just needed a legal ruling. Now we know what the law is so that we will not violate it.

Yes…but after Bolton happened Harry Reid started the Pro Forma sessions.

Basically…the Senate is NEVER in recess

There is concern that decisions will have to be revisited. But the appointments are, I believe, now regularized so this can be done.

Stand your ground Pres. Obama. The SCOTUS is no longer the judicial branch, it is a political monstrosity in black robes!
