Discussion: White House Correspondents' Dinner Will Look Much Different This Year Without A President

While I’m sure Hasan Minhaj will be good, the real action will be at Sam Bee’s NOT The White House Correspondents’ Dinner at 10 p.m. (ET) on WTBS.

Words that will never be used to describe Trump: good sport; self-deprecating; witty; selfless; modest, consistent, insightful; brave; honest…

Just as well. He has no sense of humor - as Al Franken noted, he doesn’t laugh.

Frankly this should become the new tradition: the notion of a press that caters to celebrity and celebrities may sit well with personal conceit and corporate bottom lines but it all too frequently cuts against the duties of a press in a democracy where power must be held to account; afflicting the comfortable and comforting the afflicted is better done when you are not too comfortable yourself.

tl/dr: POTUS and others should be invited as a courtesy but, rather than being on the podium, they should only be on the menu; figuratively of course.

I blame post traumatic stress memories for his absence. He will spend the rest of his life trying to avenge the verbal drubbing he got from Actual President Obama.

Doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t dance, doesn’t laugh, and damn sure doesn’t president. What the hell good is he?

There’s a thing they say about a person who can’t take a joke.

And the scab is flicked off every day, and will be for the rest of his life. Think of it, every time he sees Fox news blame Obama, the bleeding resumes.
(snicker)Sad!
hahahahah

Obama was actually pretty funny. One of the many reasons why he is so liked.

That they don’t have a sense of humor?

The question answers itself…

That’s the kind of thing my dad would say when I was looking for definitions of cuss words like “bastard.” He’d say whatever came into his head, like that it meant you had bad manners.

Just think of all the money spent on psychiatrists’ bills that the nation is saving.
