It’s not the lawyer’s fault by the way. What else could the defense be? That she used dee ole time voodoo to bewitch him? Tha sent coded mind-control messages to his brain to command him to shoot? That it wasn’t racial and she simply left him with no possible choice?

Definitely think manslaughter was in order. Murder 2, not so sure. It’s crazy to live in a country where a guy like Zimmerman can walk after initiating a confrontation and shooting an unarmed teenager, and this poor schmuck will probably get life for reacting, however badly, to a stranger at the door in the middle of the night. Our justice system is too inconsistent to be truly just, imop.

Reacting however badly? Poor schmuck? I hope you’re joking. He’s not such a poor schmuck is he, he made himself, judge, jury and executioner and ended/took the life of a 17 YO girl, no questions asked… He’s 55 years old!! She died at 17!! He’s lived 38 years more than she ever will. I agree it’s NOT second degree but people need to value other people’s lives too NOT just their own above all else. A little caution/concern for others too goes a long way! He is guilty of negligent homicide and manslaughter possibly but he is GUILTY.
Exactly. I think they need to teach that course as a requirement of people buying a gun. This trigger happy society then the claim of fear is out of control.
