He looks like maybe a 46 regular orange jumpsuit … it would be deliciously ironic if this crank ended up getting incarcerated as a result of thrusting himself onto the centerstage.

The wingnut economy at work. This is how the Kochs and Adelsons of the world attract people willing to subvert the underpinnings of the democratic society that non-wealthy individuals would otherwise depend upon for their own existence.

Anybody know the over/under on this dope even making it through the week?

If political markets were a thing, half the country would be frantically calling their broker, screaming: “Sell! Sell!”

Does he have one?

Whitaker is a complete and shameless thug. The article doesn’t begin to do him justice.

“May have violated” says the headline. Yes, of course, he violated the tax code: 26 U. S. C. § 4945, to be precise.

The worst-case penalty? Technically, his former employer could have lost its tax-exempt status and had to pay some back-taxes. None of that happened, nor will it.

Whitaker himself needn’t worry about it, either — but he should worry about other things.

Some charities are allowed to “say and do what they want” politically. The difference is that donations to these charities are not exempted from taxation.

Projection is strong in the GOP. Every time they accuse anyone we need to investigate them for that very thing.

Same way Rob Porter did.

Or didn’t.

Sounds like this foundation’s primary goal was to supply Whitaker with a handsome salary. Keeping good company with Dotard and other Rethugs.

Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose, that I can tell you.

I dunno. The information is muddled and tRump Crime Enterprises, Inc. is taking full advantage. McConnell has no problems with Constitutional requirements, and SCOTUS will cough up the usual 5:4 app on request. So what we need is for the sum of his disqualifications to be shown. A shut down Muller investigation will relieve the anxiety of a lot of complicit Republicans, so there is a motive to keep him.

Meanwhile back in California, Mangolini threatens to withhold even more fire control funding. Nine dead so far trying to escape flames. Somebody can look at his tweet if they want.

I’m an old man with thinning hair. Lately I’ve been thinking about having it all off. But now, do I really want my appearance to be confused with this guy’s? Who knew being a patriot could be so hard?

Reading further at the story this quote was from

Trump is not the first president to appoint an ally with thin credentials to run the Justice Department: John F. Kennedy picked his brother, Robert. Nor is it unusual to staff government agencies with officials who bring vested interests to the job. But Mr. Dellinger [solicitor general in Clinton admin] said there was no precedent for installing a political crony as attorney general at the very moment that he could decide the fate of a federal investigation involving the president.

Even Mr. Trump seemed to recognize the problematic nature of the appointment. On Friday, he told reporters he did not know Mr. Whitaker, the opposite of what he said on a Fox program only a month earlier, and he emphasized that Mr. Whitaker was serving on an acting basis.

tRump said he didn’t know him? I thought it was reported that they had met lots of time. Huh? Or is this yet another constant lie from the idiot?

“I have a Christian worldview,” Whitaker said in a 2014 interview while campaigning in Iowa. “Our rights come from our Creator and they are guaranteed by the Constitution.” #Theocracy

wikipedia: Soli Deo Gloria, Regent U’s theme
Soli Deo gloria is one of the five solas propounded to summarize the Reformers’ basic beliefs during the Protestant Reformation; it is a Latin term for Glory to God alone. The doctrine states essentially that everything that is done is for God’s glory to the exclusion of humankind’s self-glorification and pride. Christians are to be motivated and inspired by God’s glory and not their own.

Bad tweet. Bad.

Thanks for the clarification, but there has to be a better way to do this. I tend to read WaPo, but next time I’ll read the story before thinking “WTF?!”

“I don’t think anybody in the history of our country that served in the administration has been this bold in their private fundraising and their sort of giving favors,” he said in a radio interview posted on YouTube by his group.

It’s encouraging to me that we have such a dedicated defender of the public interest at the head of DOJ, a tireless fighter against those who would use their positions of public trust for corrupt private gain.

I am sure that he will soon direct that same vigor and zeal to investigating the present administration, too.

AH HAH HAH HAH HAAAAAA

Also, monkeys might fly out of my butt.

Please don’t call this slob the “acting attorney general.” This isn’t a recess appointment because Congress is never in recess anymore. How about “sociopath whose name popped into Trump"s head one day.”
