Keep it up Don Jr. You are showing your family’s lack of common decency. Apparently for Don sexual assault is a joke.

Every time I think the Trump family members can’t sink any lower, they prove me wrong. This statement from Don. Jr is so offensive, so juvenile, and so politically stupid that I wonder what “compromises” were made to get him through high school let alone college.

Lynne Patton, the most unqualified second tier appointee in the Trump administration, BTW, used her HUD twitter account. Ethics violation. I detest these people.

The WaPo article indicated that Ford had not decided whether she wanted the letter to go public and had, in fact, almost decided not to when the press and others came knocking on her door. If Feinstein hadn’t released the letter, who had it and who sicced the press on her? Certainly not the 65 women who have rushed forward in their certainty that Kavanaugh never misbehaved in their absence.

Ford took her allegations to WaPo in July. If I understand correctly, WaPo sat on them because she didn’t want her name released. Then, after several weeks had passed, Ford took her story to her congresswoman and, eventually, Feinstein. That makes the whole notion of Feinstein having sat on this not completely correct. What I haven’t found is whether this was a normal procedure for a newspaper or whether there’s another reason that WaPo didn’t release these allegations sooner. Someone here at TPM may have a better understanding of the timeline.

Don Junior should be grateful that stoopid isn’t a felony.

Hatch act too?

If that’s what happened, then WaPo was probably right to sit on the story, unless there was another way to corroborate it. Whether they tried or not, or whether Ford (say) identified people she knew at the time who could at least corroborate what she may have said then, I don’t know. But WaPo would have been correct not to publish the allegation without sourcing or other corroboration.

So, Feinstein holding onto the letter to insure its validity is “exploitation at tits finest” but rounding up and preparing 65 women who supposedly knew Kavanaugh from HS isn’t??? Patton is a moron.

ETA: An intrepid reporter tried to hunt these 65 women down and was not able to secure assurances from all of them that they’d be willing to stand behind the statement of his character.

Well… we all know how stupid and juvenile Donald and Junior are.
But the HUD official needs to lose her job - immediately.

I actually heard a reporter say this morning that only a handful of the 65 is now willing to comment on or stand behind their statement on Kavanaugh’s character.

Ms. Patton is violating HUD and the federal government workforce rules on workplace harassment.

I guess the young Kavanaugh hadn;t learned about NDAs yet like Don Jr’s father had.
That would have shut her up!

BTW Donnie boy - do you and your outgoing wife have a pre-nup or an NDA. Maybe the National Enquirer could publish it. Curious people wanna know.
