It is a sad day when something like this has to be pointed out to the President of the United States.
But he doesnāt feel that way. You expect him to lie?
It is kinda disturbing that an organization whose whole job is reporting on the presidency has apparently been paying so little attention to who is President.
If a reporter being murdered and dismembered in a Consulate doesnāt bother him, you think heās bothered by someone just getting punched?
He does do it so often and effortlessly, so it would be nice (at least once) if he did it for something good.
For a long time it was mostly about his reputation and public image. But more and more heās in a battle for his presidency, his net worth, and quite possibly his physical freedom. Heās not going to go too far out of his way to rein in his more rabid followers just to keep media people safe.
And it would be a message that runs counter to the rest of his message that the media is the enemy.

I have no doubt that, by his calculations, fear of physical violence has a useful part to play in defense of his presidency. We know Republican senators are moral cowards - a few bloodied reporters could send a useful additional message.
Can we throw rotten food at him? Because, if itās anything like Cersei Lannisterās walk of shame (minus the nudity of course 
), Iād make a special trip to DC just for it!
If the WHCA wants trumpās attention, minimize the number of reporters covering him. If itās a choice between being ignored by the media or telling his supporters to back off, trump will tell them to cool it (for a little while).
The press should boycott his orange ass.

Thatās never gonna happen. Trump clearly finds committing violence against journalists not only acceptable, but admirable - cf. Kashoggi, Jamal and Trumpās admiration of MbS, or Trumpās admiration of Putin and how he handles journalists.
Trump is objectively pro-violence against journalists. He even urges his supporters to do it.
