Discussion: What To Watch During Elections In Florida, Arizona, Oklahoma

The Arizona primary may be the first place where “asshole” became gender neutral.

which sarah? palin or huckabuck?

I’m truly sorry Arpaio entered the Arizona senate race and split Kelli Ward’s vote. Three reasons:

  1. Ward would be easier to beat in November.
  2. McSally would have had to run even harder to the right in the primary if she had only faced Ward.
  3. Ward is a nutcase, but having McSally in the senate wouldn’t be any better for Democrats. Both would toe the party line. McSally was a brave fighter pilot, but she has not shown that bravery as a member of the House.

(Disclosure: I’m from Baja Arizona and McSally is my representative – technically anyway.)

HEY FLORIDA!
The quickest cure for a red tide is a blue wave.

What to Watch - the goddamned voting machines and the Republican election overseers, that is what we need to be watching!

In Oklahoma Stitt is running on the “I have no government experience” platform. Considering who is in the White House, I am not so sure this is a good idea, but it might work.

Cornett is not so bad, but he is still a Republican.

The biggest problem with Edmondson is he is getting pretty old.

My fondest memory of Sarah Palin was all the tighty righties complaining about her expensive wardrobe, which they felt could’ve been better spent on an ad buy for some down-ballot Republican. The whole line of commentary made me wish they’d sprung for the matching handbag.
