That short video couldn’t be more clear - Melania hates him as much as we do!
As for Pence, the best way to take him down is to make the Orange Menace do it for us. Make him believe that Pence is plotting a coup and attempting to keep himself clean in the process. PeePee will tell the American people that Pence is a liar and give specifics. He won’t be able to help himself.
Take a look at what he did during the campaign. He lied for Trump. He ‘interpreted’ Trump’s vulgarities to mean something else. He apologized for Trump.
He’s lied about his successes as Indiana’s governor. He lied to a judge in 2014.
I think he’s also one of the dimmer bulbs in DC. Stupidity and mendacity are not mutually exclusive.
“Mr. Vice-President, with all we’ve learned about General Flynn’s lawyers informing the transition team, and Flynn’s activities on behalf of Turkey being so public that Rep. Cummings sent a letter to you, personally, about the matter, when you tell the American people three months later that that was ‘the first I’ve heard of it’… Mr. Vice-President, should we believe you’re lying, or that you’re incompetent?”
It needs to be asked. It needs to be asked every time he’s in front of the cameras until he answers it.
So who would have standing to ask a court to appoint a conservator for Pence, since he’s clearly not consistently oriented to the world around him? There doesn’t seem to be an equivalent of the 25th amendment for the Veep.
Pence is definitely a moron. I remember him well from his days in Congress. He flapped his gums incessantly on C-Span. The man is utterly incapable of cogitation. Nothing that is not a predigested talking point has ever escaped his lips.
That said, I’m sure he’s lying about being clueless here. He’s not smart enough to cover his tracks.
The ghost of Bill Buckley to Mike Pence wrt what he didn’t know and when he didn’t know it:
I won’t insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said. - William F. Buckley, Jr.
Yes. Pence showed during the VP debate that he was ready and willing to lie, spin and cover up for whatever trump did or said. He was in real trouble in Indiana, probably would have lost the governorship. trump worked out a sham deal (Carrier) that let Pence look like a hero, so how could he resist.
One other unexplained oddity of Pence’s selection - he was Manafort’s choice, not trump’s. trump wanted Christie, but Manafort lied to trump, told him his plane had mechanical difficulties, and they had to stay with the Pences that evening. trump stayed, got well acquainted, and the next morning announced Pence as VP.
