The Shine/Sanders notice to Acosta that they intend to revoke his pass after the TRO expires seems a legally foolish move, and Boutrous’ letters to them and to the DOJ lawyers convincingly demonstrates why. He’s too polite to say so in his response letters, but this move by the Administration just reeks of bad faith.

And what’s more, the WH’s broadcasting of its intention to again strip Acosta of his press credentials practically invites the court to issue a preliminary injunction to block the WH’s intended action.
