Discussion: WH: Trump 'Doesn't Want' Another Shutdown But Not 'Taking That Off The Table'

Regarding the reporters’ questions being muted at the press conference, why do I imagine Stephen Miller sitting at the sound board with his finger on the volume dial?

How many feet does The Dotard have?

I ask because he keeps shooting them…with a Howitzer.
Maybe he’s using Sarah’s instead of his own.

He may or may not realize that he could perhaps (emphasis on perhaps) make a deal using full poison-pill-free DACA as bait, but he probably realizes that his base would not allow it. He is trapped by circumstances of his own making, with no good options.

Translation: We don’t want our asses kicked again, but we need to sound like when have a F*in clue on what to do when in reality we have less than nothing.

This is what every boxer who lost a fight says after the show. We all know they don’t want to go back into the ring and get clobbered again, but can’t say that on TV.

There won’t be another shutdown but by saying it is a possibility he is shooting himself in the head, again. It enrages the intelligent which is almost as bad as doing it. It excites his base and gets their hopes of hurting more people up then he caves on that and pisses them off.

Oh, I don’t know. Hari-kari sounds like a helluva good option to me.

Like Rick Perry’s Magic Eyeglasses, the pearls don’t give you any extra intelligence, Sarah Honey.

Donald Trump threatening to shut down the government a second time to get his wall is like a guy who hasn’t showered in 9 months and then openly wonders why he isn’t popular anymore.

What’s a trebutine just so I can make sure I have one when the time comes?

As I understand it, it is a cross between a guillotine and a trebuchet. Someone on the board has the rights to it - he invented it. Can’t remember who.

So, you cut off the head, then fling it as far as you can in the trebuchet? It sounds complicated, and prone to failure, but dramatic if it works.

Of course another shutdown is off the table. He lost, and lost badly, to Nancy Pelosi, and thoroughly pissed-off the Rethugs in the Senate. If he tries it again, Turtle and his minions are going to have to field angry calls from VERY powerful people in addition to their constituents.

tRump is too much of a coward. He’ll bloviate for a while, but when the House and Senate send him a funding bill without his stupid wall, he’ll slink away, twittering like mad, but not otherwise causing any harm.

Yes, he is a world class coward and that should always be the first thing that people consider when trying to figure out what’s next.

seems to me the American people would have been happier collectively earning 3 billion dollars as a protection against want and hunger - but a couple of miles of concrete is what you are fixated on

don’t worry, I’m working on the infomercial. It’ll be as easy as cooking pasta in a glass tube by filling it with hot water!

Ah thank you. I will try to remember that.

Considering how quickly donnie folded once major airports began to delay flights, I suspect trump’s Federal Employee hostages won’t be willing to endure quite so much this time around before they start taking action.
