I know. Sometimes I think Trump mistakes tariffs for taxes – remember Spicer, early on, telling reporters that limited tariffs on Mexico would raise the money in no time. But then I sometimes think he conflates them so his dummy followers will mistake tariffs for taxes. Either way, reporters need to keep hammering on this one. So absurd!
