Discussion: WH: All Senators Questions Answered, We 'Didn't Micromanage The FBI'

The current White House has always been at war with America.

Oh, so now they’re trained professionals, and not Deep State agents.

In other news, Raj is a dissembling jackass.

“no micromanaging, absolutely not. We tied their right arms behind their back, that’s not micromanaging”

To clarify–A Democratic majority House could impeach him. The Senate has to convict him, though, in order to remove him from office, and that requires a 2/3 vote. That is the sticking point.

I will further add that, IMHO, impeachment with no hope of conviction is an empty political stunt. It looks like you are doing something, but in the end you fail–And that has a very bad look.

IOW, don’t go there.

Agree, only issue threats, which you can - and will - bear out. Pelosi was smart, to say what she said.

She is correct—Democrats haven’t won control of the House yet, and there are not 67 votes in the Senate to convict.
So even discussing it is both silly and a guarantee of increased GOP voter participation.

You really are naive about Washington politics.
Pelosi is whip-smart, able to keep her caucus under control, and knows when to use the levers of power and when not to—once Democrats take control of the House.

Calling her a “doormat” shows a near-total ignorance of her career, her history, and reality.

“WH: All Senators’ Questions Answered, We ‘Didn’t Micromanage The FBI’”

Does that include the allegations and suspicions that O’Kavanaugh lied to the Senate, beginning in 2006, and continuing through the most recent circus.

No Micromanaging. And absolutely No Collusion.

No tax evasion, no big inheritance, no house payoffs, no sex, and no beer!

Jebus Donald and Kavanaugh are really a lot a like.

“The White House didn’t micro-manage the FBI,” he continued.

They macro-managed it.

Donald to Raj- Jeezus H Christ, Raj. Did you have to use the word micro? After all the small hands and small but not freakishly small penis stuff? Am I the only one awake here?

I was referring to Heitkamp’s election strategy. Please re-read my comment - only Senators can “vote for Kav.” I like and respect Rep. Pelosi.

I hate it when this happens.

Okay. When it happens to me, I mean. I hate it when it happens to me. Just kinda shruggie when it happens to others to be honest, because that’s the kind of guy I am.

You think you’ve gotten used to the pathological lying of these halfwit, cut-rate Orwellian totalitarians. You think you’ve grown some hide and it doesn’t affect you. And then they come out with one where feel like they’ve tied you to a post and forced you to watch them defile your sister all the while telling you they’re not doing it, right there, while they’re actually doing it and the rage boils over again.

This nomination represents their high watermark this cycle. A moment of overreach so colossal, so enraging to a majority, such a monstrous display of their sociopathy, that the fall is long and hard and bloody. Like their orchestration of that abominable Shiavo law debacle, a moment orchestrated to stoke base enthusiasm with nary a thought of the backlash.

All that shit you’ve heard about how it’s energized the base? Yeah, bully for them. What they’re not getting is that turning out non-base voters for the other side is political Armageddon.

It probably won’t last. They’re like Jason and Christoper Lee’s Dracula-no matter how many times you kill them, they always come back in an even more rawly exploitative, crassly awful format. But oh lord, how they’ve well and truly screwed themselves.

And, just possibly, maybe, this time Democrats are finally going to get that their politics are like a contagion we’re going to have to contain and limit for a generation or more, until it burns itself out, rather than continuing to think things can go back to normal. And that’s a dark and dangerous path, one that puts us onto an easy, slippery slide to becoming the enemy, but damn if I see any alternative to simply letting them turn us into yet another one-party Putinized sham democracy kleptocratic thugocracy.

Great post, I was trying to figure out why this nominee and hearing ramped me up to another level.

Regarding contageon, I am hopeful that Sen. Heitkamp’s courage will be contagious with the remaining undeclared Senators.
